Hi guys! Have been reading about some of the 'lake view' rooms having a view of the MK from one of the rooms and wondered what request I should put in to ask for this area of the building? We had a lake view last time which was on the 11th floor and looked directly at the pool and lake beyond which was lovely, but if I can see the MK then that would be great!

I would request "Even number room, North side, 6th floor or higher". The even number rooms are on the outside of the building. The North side of the resort is opposite the CR bridge so you will have partial MK views and 6th floor or higher should keep your view above the monorail line.

Keep in mind that the more specific you are with your request the harder it will be for BLT to meet the request. The more general the better. So asking for a specific room or floor in a specific location will pose difficulties. No requests are guaranteed.

Good luck!:thumbsup2

Thank you! Last time we only requested 'high floor' and had a lovely room on the 11th floor, so I guess that was easy to do!! Sounds like the type of request that is easist to explain as you are checking in!! ha! ha!

On a separate note, how far in advance can you book for the Top of the World lounge and does anyone know where I can see a cocktail menu?!

From everything I have read the lounge never really seems to come even near full capacity so getting in should be no problem. You should be able to walk right up to check-in and head up. Of course you may want to show up a little early if you are going up to see the fireworks so that you can grab a prime spot.

Allears.net has a food menu http://allears.net/menu/menu_towl.htm. I have searched and searched but was unable to locate a drink/cocktail menu online.

We stayed at BLT in Room 7606 and were on the 6th floor. Technically it is a Lake View, but if we looked to the left from our balcony we had a great view of MK. If you are looking at the building it is shaped like a C. The front of the building would be at the outer rounded part of the C. Our room was at the top of the C on the outside of the curve. I hope that makes sense.
I guess that would qualify as an even room on the North side as PP suggested.

I requested a high floor even number room. We got room 8102 and from our balcony looking left we had a wondeful view of the Magic Kingdom. It was a mazing, we watched the fireworks from our balcony almost everynight. It gave a different perspective on them as to where they are actually shot off from and how they look to be right over the castle from the park. We loved the view!

We had a lake view with partial MK view last year. I simply requested a room in the north tower away from the elevator banks and away from high traffic areas. It was beautiful!
