I was just wondering why not have a few tread mills or bikes at the tower?
For $140 per point, it doesn't seem like too much to ask. Its not a need question, I am just curious as why not.
My advice to the OP is that if you think Bay Lake Tower not having their own GYM and check-in desk will be a factor then maybe you shouldn't stay there, because they also don't have any stores, transportation options, bell service and valet service. Those things are also only located at the Contemporary for guests staying at Bay Lake Tower.
Since I have never stayed at Bay Lake Tower I am not sure why else they are there, because like you said all I know is they have them to make sure only DVC members staying at Bay Lake Tower on points get into the Top Of The World lounge.Your post made me think, then why exactly are there two staff members in the lobby?? They don't provide any of the above services (not a complaint) so other than helping us up to the lounge, what exactly is their purpose?
When we were there last summer we drove over to BLT to see the resort. One of the CMs at the desk showed us around a bit while the other stayed at the desk. They both were ready to sell us points. So they are both in sales or preliminary sales to get you to an appointment with a guide.
