BLT GV MKV at 7 mos out....

...any experience? Hoping to book one for next year in April... not during peak, but a couple weeks after Easter. Will book a GV at OKW at 11 mos but hoping for some pixie dust at 7!! TIA!!

Personally, I don't think you have a chance for it. That's the MK view that is usually booked up before the 7 month time frame. And a GV that is probably gone before then.

We booked a BLT GV lake view for this May at 6 months out. MK view was not available for the entire week we would be there, only 3 of the days.

I think you'll have to be really lucky. Not likely, but you never know. I recently got BCV on six weeks notice, and I'd never gotten it in the past at even 7 months, so you really and truly never know.

I think you will be able to get lake view but the chances of getting mk view will be slim. Good luck, I hope you get it.

Thanks everybody!! We're rethinking the GV. We'll see how it goes but may opt for a 2 BDRM and a 1 BDRM, which would definitely be less points!! Stay tuned this September!! LOL!!

WE GOT IT! WE GOT IT! A GRAND VILLA THEME PARK VIEW AT THE BLT for next April!!!! We couldn't decide whether we should go for the LV or TPV, so we decided to let today's "availability" decide. WE ARE SOOOOOO EXCITED!!! Thanks for all the well wishes and pixie dust!!!

DVC friends of ours booked a GV at around 4 months or so.. so i know it is possible. I don't think the DVC Resorts are overally busy in mid-late April anyways.

So happy to hear about your experience!! I have to say, back in April when I first posted and heard negative comments I got a sick feeling in my stomach...so today I was so relieved that our "dreams actually did come true". Here's to PIXIE DUST and positive thinking (and FAITH in DVC)!! Woot woot!!

Glad things worked out for you! I've been reading this with interest because we're going to be booking a trip for the first week of May 2012. We've already got AKL booked but want to change it at 7 mo...which is coming soon. I hope we have good luck too. I noticed on another thread that you rented points from TSS. Did you do that in advance or wait until you called at 7 mo? If we can get the lower points views we have enough points but if only the higher views are available, we'll be short a few even with the one-time use points from Disney. It just depends on which resort & view is available...we're flexible but would like a 2 bed & studio at either BCV, BWV, BLT, or VWL. We could settle for 3 studios if points are a problem but I figure they'll be harder to get & really want the 2 bed anyway. A few extra points would really give us more options. I assume that the transferred points are only for a certain resort? I'm worried about this possible situation...we get the points transferred before we call & then find that the resort isn't available. Or we call 1st to check availability but after taking the time to get points transferred, the availability is gone & then you're stuck with the points. Set me straight on this if I've got it all wrong. The 7 mo time is coming soon so I'm trying to figure out all our options.
