BLT Freezer

Is there a freezer section in the Bay Lake Tower refrigerators? I found a thread that was several years old that said they were phasing them out. I was wondering what they have now. Thanks!

When we stayed in a 1BR last Nov. our refrigerator had a full regular size freezer.

It seems most resort's studio mini-refrigerators have been replaced with freezer-less units.

Hopefully they don't do that to 1BR+

We are staying in a studio in August.

Most studios do not have freezers. They have mini fridges with no freezer compartment. There may yet be a few with freezers in the wild, but it's not requestable, because there is no way assignors know which rooms have had a fridge swap out or not.

1BR+ have full-size refrigerator/freezers.

If they haven't switched it out in the studios during the refurb then it will have a small one.

One thing about studio freezers - the CCV model had a fridge with a freezer! I told the guide that was good to see as I was not happy that our VGF studio did not have one.

He said that was good feedback.........

We were at a BLT studio two weeks ago. It had a small freezer. Took several days to freeze a water bottle, but better than no freezer at all.

Here is some information, not directly for BLT, but I hope it helps. A freezer is important to me, because I bring almost all my own food due to religious dietary reasons:
When I stayed at VGF when it first opened, there was no freezer in the Studio mini fridge. I complained to Guest Relations, and was told that guests requested the loss of the freezer, to free up more space in the refrigerator!
If you put the food directly against the cooling coils in the back, stuff will freeze. Especially if you turn down the thermostat.
That being said, I have read reports that Disney is removing the knobs from the thermostats to prevent people from turning them down. In fact, my mini fridge at AKL this past December had the knob missing.
Strangely, the new video "web cast" of Copper Creek shows the host opening the mini fridge, and there seems to be a freezer section!

I've heard that before, somewhere. But, I haven't heard of them removing the knobs. Oh well, I'll just not count on a freezer and maybe we'll get lucky and have a knob lol

We had a studio last fall and the knob was removed from the refrigerator.

As I mentioned above I noted the freezer in the CCV model studio and told the guide I was happy to see that as I was very unhappy with VGF not having them.

The VGF studio fridge we had the knob to adjust the temp had been removed but I was able to find something to be able to turn and adjust. I didn't get things back against the coil though so nothing froze.
