BLT fireworks

I know BLT has a special viewing place for the fireworks, but can I utilize it if I am staying at another dvc location? I have heard you need your dvc card to get in, but can you go to the top of the building and view the fireworks?

Only members and their guests staying at BLT can access the lounge and observation deck. From dvcmember.com:

Due to anticipated high demand for this location, access is available only to Disney Vacation Club Members who are staying at Bay Lake Tower using their Membership (Vacation Points or cash), guests staying in the room with that Member, and guests who are staying in a room reserved by a DVC Member with Vacation Points. Access is limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

We were at BLT just a few weeks ago (9/4) and had to show both our KTTW card to show we were staying there and our DVC member card to prove we were members.

You can't get into BLT without a key card as others have said, but you can watch them from the balcony at the Contemporary. Not as good as the TOWL at BLT and I don't know if they pump the sound in at CR, but it's another option.

As above you can watch from CR it is a very nice deck. you can also sit in front of BLT on the benches both have a great view and yes the music as well

Top of the world is good but I think nothing beats watching them from the balcony of your own room.
