BLT firework viewing ?

If we are staying at BCV DVC can we go up to the bar at BLT for drinks and fireworks with our room key and DVC card?
If so will they let us park at Contemporary when we go or do we need to take a bus to MK and walk over?

Yes you can, Disney requests that you use Disney transportation and not take your car.

Another option, walk through the International Gateway at EPCOT, out the front of the park, take the monorail to the TTC, and then take the monorail to CR.

But since this option requires using admission to EPCOT, it's only a good option if you were previously in EPCOT that day or if you have a park hopper/AP and already visited a park that day.

You would also have to find another way back if EPCOT is closed before you leave BLT.

It was my understanding that in addition to being a DVC member you also had to be staying at BLT to visit Top of the World Lounge.

At one time, that was the case, but no longer true except for certain dates....I think July 3,4 and December 30 and 31.

Is there a specific time you suggest to arrive to ensure access, and not get turned away due to capacity issues?

I have not heard any reports of people being turned away for capacity but if you would like a drink before fireworks I would suggest giving yourself an hour- it gets really crowded and they don't add staff just for that hour. If only seeing fireworks 20 minutes gives you time to get up and find someplace to stand and hold up children.
