Hi all,

We're looking into a 2-bdrm stay for 2012 at Bay Lake Tower, but I am now confused by some conflicting information -

Is there a sleeper chair and sofa in the two bedroom or is that just the one bedroom?

Originally I had believed the sleeper chair and sofa were both in the 2-bedroom units but have since seen some info that the sleeper chairs are only in the one bedroom! :confused3 :confused3

Please could someone clarify for me which is correct? We really do need both the sofa AND the chair...

TIA! :worship: Much obliged! :)

The sleeper chair and sofa are in both the 1BR and 2BR units.

Thanks Dizfan! That's a big relief for me! Strange what info you find in other places! I knew I could count on the Dis! :goodvibes

The sofa sleeper and chair are located in the "living room" area. If you get a lock-off of a studio plus a one bedroom, technically the "living room" with the sofa and chair would be on the 1 bedroom side.

And, though many people want to do it, you cannot move the sleeper chair into one of the bedrooms. It's much too heavy to move it. Plus there is the possibility of damage to the walls and floor.

Can't believe people try to move that chair - we turned it round so it opened under the window but I wouldn't want to lift it any where!

You're right - and Nope, I do not plan to move the chair anywhere. No way do I want to move the sleeper chair! :lmao:

Just wanted to be sure that there would be one in the 2-bedroom unit for us to use! - Unless of course the DVCer before us moved it into the hallway or another unit...LOL!:rotfl2: From what I read (I am more a lurker/reader than a poster) on these boards, nothing would surprise me any more! :rotfl:

Many thanks again for your responses! I am happy to have gotten that confirmed....

Are there designated 2 bedroom units or are all 2 bedroom units lock-offs?

I stayed in a studio w/ my 2 kids in the Summer of 2009.... it was tiny. I really disliked it, even as a second bedroom in a 2 bedroom.

I'll see if I can find it, but there was a thread on TUG about how everyone moves furniture in the TS unit.

And yes some of thesee people do own/and trade into DVC!

So we might be in the minority about moving furniture.

We first encountered the sleeper chair at AKV in 2010, then again in BLT on the same stay a few days later.

At the time we didn't even know they WERE sleeper chairs. I just wanted to shift it to get a better angle on the tv and almost got a hernia. My son and I pushed it a little to get the angle I wanted, but wow is that thing heavy.

BLT has dedicated 2BR's as well as lock-offs. :thumbsup2
