BLT at 7 months?

Hi everyone.

I have more questions for you I'm afraid.

We would love to stay in an MK view BLT studio for our honeymoon week. A good friend of mine has points and she is more than happy to book for us, she she doesn't own at BLT so we would have to wait until 7 months.

Our honeymoon is next year March 30th-7th April.

Am I better booking through a different company so we can do so at 11 months or should 7 be OK?

Its very hard to say. Its either 50/50. No one can really guess unless they have ESP, lol. I would go for the 11 month to be safe.

If you really want MK view studio, then yes, I would go with another owner who owns BLT points. This should give you a very good chance to get it right at the 11 month mark.

The other option is to try to reserve the room directly through Disney as a "room only" reservation (not DVC, but cash). You would only need to put down one nights deposit and believe can cancel within a week or so of the reservation with no penalty.

Then, at 7 months, have your friend check to see if there is DVC availability. If there is, she books it with points, and you cancel out the room through Disney.

The only drawback to that is you would be paying rack rate (unless Disney comes out with a discount) to stay on cash.

It really is going to be a toss up whether you would get it or not, but we have managed to get in twice so far. The first time was a LV, but it had partial MK views and the second time we got a MK view studio. The first booking was made the day they opened up booking to all non BLT owners. The second was made at the 7 month mark for a trip this June.
