We expect to arrive around 7:30 or 8:00 pm for our first visit at BLT - don't know what to do about dinner, but would love to catch a glimpse of the TOWL sometime that night. It sounds like we'd need to run over to the Contemporary for a bite first though so we could grab a sandwich - or could we get something that would be filling enough for a light dinner right there? I have reservations at the Wave for 9:30 but we didn't really want a big sit down meal after sitting on the plane for so long, so may have to cancel that. Sorry if I haven't done my research. :confused3

We have made TOWL our dinner a few times. The flatbreads are very good and filling for a light meal. Finish the meal with a nice sweet after dinner drink for dessert. :)

We do a dinner of about 1.5 flatbreads for each of us and a small dessert up in the lounge.

BLT also has an excellent in room dinning menu. It has build your own sandwich/ burger, if you want a smaller meal. It is quite expensive but really good imo. The totwl only has appetizers and snacks.

This is exactly what we plan to do for our first night end of June. We are going to check in at BLT, do some food shopping once our room is ready & then we will hit TOWL for some flatbreads & drinks & watch Wishes. We love their flatbreads & we don't want to worry about trying to make a reservation anywhere so it's a perfectly relaxing way to start a vacation! :thumbsup2

We have used the TOTW lounge for a late dinner option. I think we tried almost one of everything, and it was all very good.

I don't see whether or not you own at BLT, but TOWL is only available to BLT owners staying on points. I have heard that they check your DVC member card and room key before allowing access to the elevator to take you up there.

It varies. And there is a whole thread about this. It appears that at times it really depends on who is working there at the time. We rented a year ago there and I had no problems getting in. No body was ever at the elevator. I also had some good conversations with the bartender. She knew I was a renter. Never told me I wasn't allowed in anything like that. If you can't get in, then the Contempo Cafe will have something for you if you don't want to eat at the Wave.

Now that's something I didn't know. We are DVC owners - we own at BWV and SSR, but are using our points at BLT this time. I knew you had to be DVC members to use TOWL, but not that you had to be a BLT owner.

stay away from the shrimp cocktail up there, it's odd. they also have a basket of pretzel bread that is pretty tasty.
:thumbsup2

Totally agree. 4 tiny shrimp in a creamy sauce. It was way overpriced for what it was. Kids loved the pretzels though.

Pretzel bread is awesome esp with the mustard that comes with it. Best of luck keeping the salt from showering all over the table though lol. In January we found no issues with availability and were up there every night after we left the parks till they closed. The chocolate cake is massive but very good as well.
