I was just reading on a travel review site about BLT. A couple people that rated it said the bedding was terrible! UHMMM...so far I have stayed one night there, in October, in a studio, and the bedding was lovely. Has that changed? We'll be doing our first stay as a family in June...the beds are, for me, so very important! I sleep better there than at home! We also stayed Boardwalk in October and the beds were to die for! Dang, I couldn't fit it in my suitcase...I know, I buy it. :rotfl:

Maybe they like old, stinky, heavy comforters instead? lol

The bedding hasn't changed.

Nope, as of a couple of weeks ago, the bedding was still fabulous. Best sleep I've had in a long time.

Here now and the bedding is amazing! Not what I was expecting at all. At SSR the bedspread is basically just there to make the room look pretty-these here at BLT are actually "user friendly"...not too heavy.

Add us to the list of those who love the bedding at BLT :thumbsup2

I know mattresses & pillows can be subjective but the white duvets help me think they are cleaned more often than the comforters at the other resorts.

Thank you for setting my mind at ease everyone! I guess the reviewer was a princess and had a pea under the mattress??? LOL :rotfl:

The sofa bed at AKV was MUCH more comfortable than SSR. Are the BLT couch beds like the ones at AKV? Without the back breaking bar?

No this is a cut and paste:

" Finally, the beds stink! I don't know what it is with places that spend a ton of money on showerheads but skimp on the pillows. I love having a nice shower, but I NEED a nice pillow and mattress/bedding. Everyone in our party were complaining about the beds and even people we met in the roof top lounge were saying the same things."

All I can say to that is "Misery loves company", and you can always find someone to agree with your assessment anywhere. We thought the matresses were horrible in all DVC resorts when we first purchased, but they have improved over the years.

What I find hysterical is that the reviewer actually liked the showerheads at BLT. Holy cow - - when I took my shower I felt like I was being punished and couldn't get out of there fast enough (YEEOUCH!). :rotfl2:

I didn't actually have a problem - but DH and I both felt if we got too close to the edge (we are both edge clingers LOL), we felt like we were falling off.

All the little pillow drive me crazy too. I have king size bed at home, with 4 king size pillows. Don't give me 6 mini pillows. LOL

Not complaints - just observations.

I will admit that it felt very strong the first time, but I really liked it. But my children had to turn it down. It was too strong for them. The good thing about it is that it's adjustable. :)

As for the beds, I found them comfortable. I do prefer the duvet over bedspreads (which are in other resorts). I do wish the pillows were larger, but I think these are standard for all the resorts.

Didn't like the bed in the studio, at all. It's funny because I've been there twice. By myself, I thought it was comfy. Last trip with DH, I was miserable. It felt like sleeping on the floor with a little bit of mattress in between. I actually slept on the pullout. Maybe they have different firmness levels in different rooms?

We stayed in a studio in early March and I found the mattress to be very very comfortable. My nephew slept on the pull-out and said it was the most comfortable pull-out he's ever been on.

I just wish there was a ceiling fan in the studio. I turned the air down low as I got warm sleeping next to my 11 year old niece. I could't really feel the air coming out of the vent (above the entry to the hallway) as I was next to the wall. However my poor nephew felt it blowing right across the room right onto him next to the windows, lol!
