I am traveling with my 2 daughters 19 & 23, myself and my husband. If we go with Bay Lake Towers we have the 1 bedroom option and 2 full baths. If we do Poly its 1 1/2 bath and a studio style room. We have wanted to stay at Poly but never have so that is what keeps making me question. This is a 7 day trip if that makes a difference in your suggestion. Thanks for any input.

I dont care for the BLT/Contemp as a resort. And Poly is one my my top two resorts. Bur with travelers that age Id vote BLT. The BLT couch is much larger than the love seat size pullout at the Poly Studio. Not to mentioned there is more space to separate if needed in the 1-bedroom.

The half bath at the Poly does not have a toilet, but it does have a sink and nice shower.
Obviously the 1 bedroom will be pricier, but it is very, very nice. Just don't expect to be able to get a standard view one. Those get gobbled up by owners early on.
The 1 bedroom has a sleeper chair as its third sleeping surface, while the Poly studio has a Murphy bed that is shorter than a twin mattress.
You would be happy in either. It is up to you if you want to spend the extra money/points for the 1 bedroom or not.

I own at Poly, LOVE the DVC studios even though odd arrangement without a 2nd toilet, but there is NOTHING like the 1 bedroom at BLT with 2 washrooms. And a washer and dryer. And the ability to get food during one of Florida's sudden rain storms without going outside. BLT is definitely worth the points.

With Poly, wonderful that it is, you must walk outside. In the dark if you are going for dinner.

Four adults in a studio is crowded to me. No matter how much you love them. The one bedroom will have a king bed in the bedroom, plus a queen sleeper sofa and twin sleeper chair at BLT. And you get two real bathrooms at BLT. One for the girls in the living room and one for you and your husband in the master bedroom.

Thanks for your replies. I knew it made more sense to stay at BLT with our situation but just needed confirmation.

Yes, you are making the right choice by staying in the GORGEOUS one bedroom at BLT!!!!! It is so much larger with a full kitchen, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer in your room, and dining table. The studios at the poly seem very cramped to us and there is only the two of us. Plus, I just don't understand wasting all that space for a second bathroom but only having one toilet.

AND you can go to the CR via a really nice walkway (I didn't think that I would like using this, but we found it incredibly convenient) PLUS walk to the MK!!

We just get back from a stay in BLT early Dec and we loved it there! I'll never stay in a studio at the Poly again (even though I Love staying in the Poly resort rooms - just don't like DVC there). Well, I would stay at the Poly DVC if I could afford a bungalow - maybe.

I think that you are making the right choice. EVEN though when staying non DVC, the Poly is arguably our favourite resort.

Enjoy!!!

We put max 2 people in a poly studio. For 4 adults, it would only be the BLT 1 bedroom.
