I only took around 500 pictures this trip... But I only chose 28 to share with you! I'll be done posting them shortly!

The ones I've posted so far were from the smaller towns and the countryside. All the rest are from Cologne. A lot are from the huge Cathedral.

This little police dog actually drove the motor cycle! He was so cute with his sunglasses and everything!

I loved the little pink building squished in between the others! It's kind of how I imagined the Order of the Pheonix's (Harry Potter) secret house would appear and then disappear.

I hope you enjoyed these, it was fun going back through them again! I'll be looking forward to seeing yours when you come back.

Cheryl - your news is sooo exciting!! What fun to get to go with a friend, too!! I can't wait to see your pics from that trip!!!!!! You are so close to your Disney trip. I have something like 265 days to go I love Twilight - ran right out and bought the DVD this weekend - we aren't dorks - just hopelessly romantic.

Julie I hope those 200+ days fly by for you! I know they will.

Oh and I'm glad I'm not the only one who ran right out for the DVD. I'm not even going to tell you what time I was out getting it. I guess you are right we are just hopelessly romantic!

My only tips for Germany would be to smile and if you need help, ask if anyone speaks English! Everyone I met was very friendly and helped us in every way possible. I don't have any pictures on photobucket, but I'll see what I can do for you. I wasn't near Stuttgart, we flew into Frankfurt, and stayed in little towns called Steinhaus and Margretenhaun I believe, and then we were in Cologne. Take many pictures, that's my only other tip! But you're like me, I'm not worried in that sense!

Thank you so much for the tips and pictures. The pictures were beautiful! This whole trip is going to be so different for me. At least when I went to France I knew some French and so much about the history and culture. For Germany I know pretty much nothing. I really have to start doing some research! Thanks so much again for the pictures!

Whoa!! I'm a lil behind, but that's so awesome that you are going to Germany!!! I went to Germany and Austria when I was a freshman in high school, my choir toured the area and sang at several different places, including at Sunday morning Mass at the Dom Cathedral. It was absolutely breathtaking! I know you'll have a great time!! It snowed while I was there, granted that was in March!

43 days till I'm heading off to FL and WDW. Can't believe how fast it's coming. I think I mentioned this before but the trip is paid in full and now all that's left to do is wait for the Disney packet in the mail with all the package info. Speaking of Disney mail my D-23 club stuff came in the mail yesterday. Everything seems to be shipped seperate. I got my membership card at the begining of the week and got my second package with the certificate and magazine yesterday.

Let me just say just looking at the first issue of the magazine I'm glad I joined. They did such a good job with it and it's more like a book than a magazine. I'm really looking forward to getting more issues as they come out. Here's a look at the cover...

Everything came all packaged in clear plastic with a letter from Bob Iger and a D-23 car decal.

There is still one package coming and honestly I don't know what it is. The letter says it's a "special gift from the Disney archive". I'm really looking forward to seeing what it is.

Yup you can get it at Barnes and Noble! Make sure you check it out it is really nice!

WOW! You just made me want to go look up the shipping cost again! The shipping is not quite what I had originally heard, but it's still extreme. If everything is as great as that first shipment looks, it's worth it though!

That's such a bummer that the shipping is so high. My thing was I figured I was going to get the mag anyway ($16 an issue). So four of those would of been $64- $10 less than the club price. I'll be sure to post what the last thing is when it comes.

(Especially with TWO trips planned this summer!) But seeing the gift and that it's nice enough to be framed, it really helps me feel better!

I don't think I'll do a pre-TR, but I think I may end up posting at least a picture TR from the big trip. It will be from Aug 7-15! I'll let you know when I get started.
