Seriously is it JUST me or does anybody else have trouble with this bloody app not loading? I keep getting the "Please try again" blue screen of death. I thought since I had now moved into my advance period of my stay that I would have less people to compete with but, for some reason I am getting more of these "Please try again" screens than EVER before!!!

It's SO maddening - I seriously mean when I say I cannot wait for this holiday to be over and I won't have to deal with this pre-planning crap ever again. It's sucked ALL of the joy out of my holiday and added a HUGE amount of stress to my life. I actually regret going back to WDW for the first time since 2001 - it's just not the same.
 
I'm sorry. I don't know why some people have more issues then others do. Are you overseas? I think that the type of phone and phone service that you have can make a difference. Some people uninstall it and reinstall and that can sometimes help. I hate using my phone for things. I am getting older and it is just too small so I use my PC at home to do everything and then just use the app when at the parks. Once you get to the park, you really will not have to use the app that much and if you have issues, guest services can help.

I can certainly relate to this sentiment. We did 7 annual trips between 2006 and 2012. All at the end of August, all with Free Dining, all with hot weather but little rain and all with very low crowds. Rode headliners multiple times during the day and with the old FastPass system rarely waited more than 10 or 15 minutes.

Now the prices are way up, the crowds are way heavier and the crazy need for pre-planning and paying to skip the lines we have no desire to go back. :(

Thank you so much for your kind words - yes I am in Australia but that should not affect my access to the app. I have a personal saying and that is, "Digital doesn't work" - this just proves my point for me again. Between all of this pre-planning stress and covid, I am DREADING coming back to the US.

Just a shame. If you ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling with no change, I fear ur frustration likely won’t change.

Disney IT is simply SUBpar at best.
 
I think it's made worse because we are hearing over here that there are riots in the streets and it may not be safe for people to visit the US at the moment. I'm spending a lot of time in the south and I know people there are very angry. It's a bit frightening.

I don't know where you are hearing that. And American is very, very big place. If there is issues in one part of one city, that means 99.9% of the Country is not having those issues. If there is a riot, which is pretty rare, it will be easy to not get in the middle of it. I am sorry that whatever news agency that you are watching is fear mongering and that you feel that way.

Try clearing out your history, cache, cookies and that most likely will help. Its my go to whenever I have trouble with websites loading.

I hope we can help you feel better about whatever you are hearing. It's just not happening, there are no riots in the streets. I live in the South and no, people are not very angry here. I mean, we have our disagreements about Covid, especially concerning vaccines and mask wearing, but I don't hear or see anyone harassing people about it. Some of us wear our masks (I do), where I live most don't, and we all just go about our business. It's true there's a lot of online disagreement about it, but people aren't fighting about it in public.

There are riots here?

And people in the South are about as kind as they come in the US.
