Blogging about your trip

I just created a blog on blogspot for our trip in October. It is me and my 9-yo son going, as my dh has to stay at home. I thought this would be a great way to post our doings each day, along with a few pics and maybe videos. I am bringing my laptop, camera, and Flip video camera. I can post at night on the laptop. Friends and family can check in each day (we're gone for ten nights) to see how it's going.

Has anyone ever done this before? Was it hard to keep up each day?

I'm doing something similar while we're gone (taking my laptop, camera and Flip) but wont do too much posting of what we're doing while we're there. I save all of that for when I'm writing my trip report when I get home and I write something similar for them.
