Blogger Blacklisted from WDW

Don't see why it's sad. The other blog says he went where he shouldn't. Now he's paying the price. Good for Disney!

Not only did he go behind scene, he attempted to video what is back there. It was a clear violation of Disney's policy and he deserved the lifetime ban that he got. Nothing sad about it at all.

Sad? Not at all. He broke a VERY important rule. Disney had to throw the book at him in order to discourage others from doing the same. Good for Disney...the blogger was an idiot for taking that risk.

I don't find it that sad.He violated Disney rules and got caught.Disney banned him.Action=Consequence

Well, there's 14 minutes and 39 seconds of my life I'll never get back.

I've never seen his other videos, but if they're anything like this one...... I'm not missing anything.

Yeah I agree he shouldn't have done it. Especially repeatedly.I would never do that to ruin my chances with Disney. I'm a past cast member & wouldn't post certain things on my blog. I couldn't imagine being banned!

actions have consequences.

I agree with the previous poster. If his other videos are anything like that one, I haven't missed anything. 14 minutes of whining and crappy camera work.

I saw all the "I won't go back to Disney until they let Adam Woo back in!" all over Disney's FB. I googled it a few days ago but found no info. But no knowing he went backstage and tried to film it, I don't feel bad for him. If you love Disney so much, don't blatantly break the rules like that.

And that was a terrible video. I also feel like I'm going to vomit because of how the video was filmed.

This says it all. From Fox 4 News:
ORLANDO - A Walt Disney World "urban explorer" we told you about back in November has been banned from the park - for life.

The "explorer," who goes by the name "Adam The Woo," gained an online following by posting videos of himself sneaking into backstage areas of the Magic Kingdom off limits to the public.

Adam told Fox 4 in November he's a fan of Disney and wanted to see what was backstage to satisfy a "morbid curiosity."

On his YouTube channel, he has a dozen videos of himself "exploring" Disney World. The park considers what he did trespassing.

In his latest video, Adam, who is wearing a black Mickey Mouse T-shirt, says he's "had better days" since he was met by security on his latest visit to the happiest place on earth and banned for life.

"I never received any emails from Disney on what I was doing was wrong," said Adam in his YouTube video. "So, I figured maybe I'll get a slap on the wrist, they'll talk about the videos, say 'don't do it anymore,' all that good stuff. None of that happened. They were waiting at the gate and they got me."

Adam, who is upset about the ban, claims the security guards that got him were actually fans of his videos.

A spokeswoman for Disney World tells Fox 4 they take matters like this seriously and filed a trespass warning against Adam because he "deliberately entered unauthorized areas" several times before.

Disney statement

"We take matters like this seriously and filed a trespass warning against him since he deliberately entered unauthorized areas on several occasions."

While I think this guy definitely should have been severely reprimanded, I think that he should have been seriously fined and given a stern warning. Then again, he could just ignore and evade them. Obviously, Disney's trying to make an example of him. I can't imagine never being allowed to enter a Disney Park for the rest of my life...

A couple of times, sure. After a dozen I have no problem with a ban.

I think they were absolutely right to do what they did. If all he got was a reprimand, fine, or whatever, people would assume they could just as easily get away with it. He was basically flaunting his success in breaking the rules by posting these videos online. Certain areas must be off-limits to guests for safety and security reasons, and as much as I would love to see the backstage areas for myself, it's not worth these kind of consequences.

Really? He didn't know that what he was doing was wrong since Disney didn't tell him? Give me a break. He got what he deserved.

Consequences are definitely in order here. Forever? I'm not sure that this is the smartest decision. 10 years would be enough to punish a Disney addict!

If you actually watch the video where he talks about being banned, he is quite understanding and doesn't blame Disney. And he says they were nothing but nice to him the whole time. No Disney bashing at all.

For being reprimanded for the first time I feel a lifetime ban is harsh. A ten year ban would be enough to deter any Disney addict from doing something like that again. Get caught a second time then yeah I see no problem with a lifetime ban.

I certainly done condone his behavior. He could even be putting himself in danger without the proper training.

Just a thought. How can they really keep the guy out? They can cancel his AP, but how do they know to keep him out of 4 parks, 2 water parks and Disney Quest? Couldn't he just grow a beard or shave if he has one, put on a hat, buy a ticket online and waltz right in?

They must have his finger scan flagged :)
