Blog Question

I just started a blog and I have a question for those of you that have one. How do you get people to read it? I feel like if I'm going to spend the time doing it I'd like someone to use it... besides my 2 friends that I forced to look at it

Good question.

I just launched my blog on Saturday. Here's what I've read; you need to leave comments on other people's blogs and they'll follow back to you.

Also, I peeked at your blog and you might want to join up with some blog networks, like Momblog.com or somewhere where people can appreciate your good deals.

Have you joined blog catalog? That might help.

The other thing is to participate in discussion forums like this. I've gotten some hits from the DIS already, but not many followers. It's only been a few days though.

Can you explain how Blog Explosion works? I just spent about 15 minutes on that site looking around and still couldn't figure it out.

Also, is there really a month and a half wait time until your blog gets approved? I read that in the forums.

You surf and gain credits for views, my blog that I started in March took about 2 months to be approved. If you're looking for lower quality traffic, EasyHits4U and Clickthru.net are options, but both can be spammy.
I;d suggest poking around blogs in your niche-in your (Joy G's) case, I'd go a google search for your niche and see what you come across.

Yes, so I'd suggest surfing and commenting to bank points and gain traffic.

I just wanted to say thanks for mentioning this! I googled Friday Follow, and apparently that one has been discontinued. But I found something called Tuesday Tag Along and I tried it yesterday. I more than doubled my followers in one day. Wow. I'll be trying blog hops more often.

I recently was able to come back to mu blog so it's like Im starting all over again (it was brand new when I had to temporarily pause it so it pretty much is still brand new)
