Blocking a particular section of forum

im just curious if there is any way to block a particular section of the forum? For example, is it possible to block the games section so I don't have to scroll through tons of threads on counting up or down or whatever when I click on "new posts"?

Is this possible?

What you can do is "Watch" the specific sections that are of interest to you. Rather than going to "New Posts" when you log-in, click on "Watched Forums" and find all the new posts specific to just those forums of interest.
