You would have to check the Disneyland calendar to find the exact dates and time for when you are there, they change.
It is cute. There are Bugs Life, Monsters Inc, Toy Story sections. There is lots of action-dancing and singing. Kids are encouraged to come out and dance on the street with characters and cast members.
At the end, they throw little nerf balls that say Block Party Bash out to the crowd--cool souvenier!!
It is worth seeing. We watched it from the Monsters section, then the Toy Story section.
Very cute. And not so crowded as the parades at DL!!
I love this parade. The cast members in the show are SO talented and something you won't see at any other theme park. They really try to get kids and adults out there dancing!
Please not that while the parade does still go the entire parade route, it is only stopping twice for a while. They will announce this about 30/40 minutes before showtime, but it is good to know ahead of time. The Sunshine Plaza seems to get the most crowds. All of the units are great. I think the Toy Unit is probably my favorite though. There is nothing like watching Jesse and Woody doing the Twist.
And the green soldier characters (from Toy Story) are not to be missed! They are very funny and talented. The trampoline scenes are very entertaining, too. We really enjoyed the show and like others have said, unless it is a super busy time in the parks, you can come 15 minutes before show time a get a decent seat. Have fun!
On Saturday, the parks were PACKED. I could not believe how many people were at Block Party Bash. It actually made for an even better show. There were tons of people in the street dancing...etc. I just looked down the parade route at all the children dancing with Pixar Pals and Characters and thought "magical".
Oh, my DS5 is going to go NUTS! He loves all the Pixar movies, but especially Toy Story! Woody and Buzz are his favorite characters, so we are definitely going to this parade, and will try to get the characters' autographs in...is it Frontierland? COOL!!!
Check carefully on times and route--you want to be at a spot where it "stops" and they do the show. I think enjoyment of this would depend on the age of the kids. I think it's really great--high energy, fun music, gets the kids involved. Our last visit it was a highlight for the kids who were 4-10. I'm thinking it may not appeal to teens so much, but I'm just guessing.
We were there last week with a wide range of kids ages 18-5 and all the kids really enjoyed the music and the dancing with the characters. And us grown-ups even got out and danced to... If you want to be with a specific group to dance with be sure to ask a CM which part of the stop they will be at... We did it twice and got to dance with Toy Story one time and Monsters the next.. I really wanted to see it a third time to see the Bugs Life guys! In my opinion I liked this parade better than the one over in Disneyland... They have so much energy and talent!!
