Up here in Warren County, NJ, we decided not to go to work and are officially hunkered down. Looks like we're expecting 9 to 12 inches.

Checking to see how everyone else is doing.

Q: Does the Dis get more posts on a snow day?

I'm in Arlington, Virgina and 7 inches of snow has fallen since yesterday afternoon, this is on top of the 19 inches from the weekend. We now have whiteout conditions over the DC metro area. I work for the Ferderal Goverment and we haven't been to work all week!

Snow day up here in NY too! It's supposed to snow all day and into tonight. I'm not sure how much is on the ground right now...maybe 5 inches? Not too much.

Well, here in South Jersey (Medford) we still had much of last weekend's blast of 22 inches on the ground.
Last night we got about 6 inches of slush basically- very wet and very heavy stuff!
Then it sort of sleeted for several hours.
And now we are beginning the actual blizzard portion of the storm- expecting another 12+ inches of fluffy, drier snow lasting until around midnight.
They even said we might have some "thunder snow"!!!
Talk about a snowpocalypse!!!

This stornm is supposed to bring about 19 inches where I live (right outside of Philadelphia).

Snow day today- and maybe even tomorrow??

Got about 29 inches on Sat. Probably about 15-17 so far today. Very heavy snow and the blower is acting up! We live on a block loaded with older people so we've been helping the entire block. Blizzard conditions right now. I've never seen this much snow on the ground at one time...about 50 inches in spots!

The kids even saw someone go by on SKIS! What a riot!!:rotfl2:

Oh well, off to shovel some more....

It's nutty on the Jerzy Shore right now. I lost count of how many inches we had. LOADS!

I live in Media, PA right in the I-95 corridor...we are getting hit pretty hard 12+" fallen so far today (on top of yesterdays and last week) and more to come over the next few hours...should end up with 18-20"

We had a "snow day", but have not gotten nearly as much as predicted. It did not start accumulating until after 1:00 PM, but I'm not complaining even though the forecasters are apologizing here. :)

Wow! Stay safe.

Media, PA. We went to a benefit concert at the Institute of Science last year (and had dinner at an Irish bar, can't remember the name). One of our favorite under the radar singer-songwriters (Craig Bickhardt) frequently performs at venues in your town. We'll be back.

Hey neighbor!! I'm in Drexel Hill!!

We received another 8 to 10 inches on top of the 32 inches we received over the weekend. There were definite blizzard conditions for a good part of the day. We have received 72 inches so far this winter and our usual winter snow total is 19 inches. I will say, it has been great for spending good family time though.

We escaped the Jersey Shore snow this past weekend somehow, but up here by Wayne, NJ (about 20 min from NYC) we got about a foot today and the snow's still falling!:surfweb:

Makes FL look terrific right about now;)

Also in NJ...we are in morris county and in the 12-18in zone. Who knows if we will actually get that, but as of now we have at least 10in. The snow is suppose to con't until midnight.....

After listerning to the weather people for the last couple days here in Boston. Schools were closed snow emergenices declared and etc. As you can see we were suppose to get 12-18 inches of snow. The weather people got it WRONG it appears that we will be only getting 1-2 inches at best. The streets are only wet. :goodvibes

yeah the snow here was pretty pathetic...i'm in a more southern part of Plymouth MA, very close to the ocean, and it's really more "wet" than "blizzard"

i'm kinda bummed - my dog has finally made a nearly full recovery from her surgery and i was dying to bring her outside to play in it, she LOVES snow! and, i had today off, so it would have been perfect for being snowed in.
