Hi
So I have a little man- he has autism. Loves movement and routes.
If he goes to the water playground he will go up the stairs then down slide and do that 500 times as happy as Larry.
I need to see him at all times- if gets pushed he might grab the person. He can’t talk and is very passive. He will wait his turn - within limits- if kid sits at the top of the slide and stays there without moving for a long period of time- He may push them.

We have one fun pass for a one day to the waterparks in August. Daughter and husband are not going. So it will just be me. I need to see him at all times to remind him nice hands or protect them if he gets hurt etc. So nothing long and winding where I can’t help him if needed.

Which water park has a great toddler area with good line of sight. I need to see or shadow him the entire time. Splash area won’t interest him. Simple slides (like the water playground kind)

Also he loves simple thrill rides - barnstormer or mine Train is his fav. Splash terrified him. So any water slides where I can ride with him, but isn’t too intense.

Ive tried looking at pictures online but struggling to get a full picture.

We LOVE the water parks, have been to both dozens of times each.

Blizzard Beach. Ski Patrol will be absolutely perfect for him (assuming he's between 2 and 10 years old)

while this is not a water park years ago not sure about now the slide at Fort Wilderness had a red and green light that my special needs grandson had a hard time with. it stayed green a little after first child went down so he would follow. and you could not see him at top if you were waiting at bottom. I had a problem with a young teen from another family who decided that he should be caught at bottom which he did not want second time this child caught him he bit that child on shoulder as he was non verbal and this was after I talked with that child. her mom was not happy when lifeguard would not force us to leave or allow her child to catch him that I wasn't

I have to disagree with this. I have a special needs DS and at 5, Ski Patrol was way too much for him. He freaked out on the zip line because he couldn't understand the lifeguard's instructions on where he needed to stand. You will not be able to accompany him on the activities at Ski Patrol and if he needs quick support from you, you won't be able to provide it. I would go to Tike's Peak at Blizzard Beach and spend the majority of your time there (assuming he is less than 48" tall). You can be at arms-length of him at almost any given moment in the Tike's Peak set-up. If your feeling more adventurous, try the lazy river and perhaps watch a youtube video of Teamboat Springs to see if you think it's tame enough for him (there aren't big drops like Splash, but it's still quite a big slide). Just know, as a party of 2, you will be placed on a raft with another family for weight-distribution purposes. Honestly, other than those attractions, nothing else really fits the bill. I found the waterpark to be quite difficult with DS when he was younger.

Every child is different, right? I never specifically recommended putting the child on the zip line, and that was a decision you made for your kid. OP mentioned several times needing to be at arms' length. You can do that on the small slides right next to the zip line...in fact you can literally hold hands side by side. While you can't do that on the tube slide there, it's a very small one and you can watch the child go down the whole thing and "be there" for them. Same with the icebergs and ropes. You can literally be standing right there as they try to cross. And of course there's the pool too, where you can be as close together as you want. In fact, the only thing that I wouldn't recommend is the zip line.

Yes, Tikes Peak is good too, but is meant for babies and toddlers...don't know how old OPs kid is.
