I really need my trip to get here so I stop second-guessing myself.

Despite the many times I've been to WDW, I have never made it to Blizzard Beach. I thought it might be fun to add in some time there on my upcoming solo trip. So I just wanted some general advice on the park--what's your favorite thing to do? How will the lines be end of May? Has anyone done it solo? And, is it necessary to be at the park when it opens, or would heading there in the afternoon work?

Thanks!

Hey there!
I think Blizzard Beach is a great place to check out, I think everyone should go at least once. As for me I am always a big fan of the lazy river, or as it is called at BB Cross Country Creek, but the slides are extremely fun as well. Summit Plummet is so much fun if you're not afraid of heights!! As a previous Cast Member at the Typhoon Lagoon I would suggest getting there in the morning. The water parks fill up extremely fast in the summer time. TL is smaller so it fills up before BB so a lot of people are suggested to BB. Lines will get long once people start arriving, but I do know if you get there early you can knock out all the slides.

I hope this helps you out some!

Yes, you can do afternoon. We get the after 2pm Florida resident pass and typically get to the water parks about 3. Usually there is an exhausted sunburnt stream of people leaving. I used to do TL solo when I worked at Disney one summer in college.

My husband and daughter just went there yesterday for the first time. Both really loved it. I am not sure about late May, but yesterday, they both said the lines were very manageable. My daughter said Summit Plummet was the worst with a 30 minutes wait. Everything else had about 10 minute waits. Oh, they did not arrive until around 11:00, and the park opened at 10:00.

It's a blast of a water park. Lots of fun txt be had. And yes, SP has a LONG line, but it's a great ride down. I'd recommend it!!!

We love BB (and TL)! Summit Plummet usually has the longest line, but for everything else we've found the lines aren't bad at all. I think you said you are going by yourself, but the family raft ride is really fun - maybe you could get paired with another group and try it.
