First, let me start off by saying this is my first post on the DIS (longtime creeper!) so forgive whatever faux-pa's I may commit posting this here haha

Just curious about the water parks after 2pm pass. It seems like a good deal - $65/yr after 2pm vs. $58/day but I haven't been to the water parks in years. Is 2pm a horrible time of day to go? I looked at the schedule for June and July and both BB and TY stay open until 7 or 8, which seems like more than enough time to experience the parks but am I being too optimistic? Trying to fill the void while my seasonal pass is blacked out. Insight from disers is much appreciated!

The only negatives I see are in the summer a lot of the rain comes in the afternoon and that in the non summer months they do close earlier, like at 5-6pm,also during the cooler months only one is open, aside from that it's a really good deal, especially if you're local.I'm 4 hours away in South Florida,if I was closer I would either have the after 2pm pass or the full 2 waterpark AP which is like $100 or so.I also have the Disney seasonal but I have the full AP's for the Busch/Sea World and Universal parks to entertain me in the summer.I actually think since the waterparks tend to fill up the morning and a lot of people leave around 2-4pm,it's actually quite pleasant to visit the waterparks in the late afternoon, crowds disappear and lines get shorter.I think if I were local I would spend the extra $40 bucks and get the full AP,my only reasoning for that is that they just close at 5-6pm for a good chunk of the year.

Haha I'm in south florida too - east ft lauderdale to be exact. The drive for me is just under three hours, which usually ends up just taking a little over two...;) I don't mind going there and back the same day, have done it before w/ no problem.

We have had the Water Parks After 2 Pass for the past 2 years and will renew again this summer. We love it! It is a great value, we only use it in the summer. If you plan your vacations right you can use it for two back to back summers.

We usually have time to do everything at least once in a day. The parks begin to clear out around 5 and there aren't very big waits.

I would highly recommend it, especially if your driving up from south Florida like us! It's the perfect excuse for a last minute mini vacation ;)

Welcome to the Dis! :welcome:

On 8 pm close days, IMO the BEST time to be in the water parks is from 6-8 pm. They pretty much empty out after supper. FWIW, I've experieced this same scenario at other water parks too.
