Okay - I know everyone is thinking about Christmas right now, but I have a water park question. I noticed on Disney's website that only a few rides (the big ones) have a height requirement (48"). Does this mean everything else is fine? I have a 6 year old who is just under the 48", and she'll be mad about the few she can't ride, but my question is more about my almost 3 year old. He will be probably close to 40" by the time we go. Can he ride everything else? If it makes a difference, he won't be 3 while we're in this park, so I'm assuming we don't have to buy a ticket for him.

He will be fine on anything that doesn't have a height requirement, but parents must accompany children under the age of 10. If he's a bit nervous about trying the slides, take him to the ones that have the double tubes, so mom or dad can ride down with him.

Keep in mind that there's a splashdown area at the end of each ride. He'll need to be able to swim or stay afloat in that area, because he won't be tall enough to touch the ground. Enjoy!

I'd question how safe he might be on some of the rides even if he meets the height requirement. Unlike traditional "rides," you're not just strapped into a car or boat. At the water park an individual has much more control over and responsibility for their own safety. You know your child best and will need to determine on a case-by-case basis if they can handle a given ride. If all else fails, the family tube ride is GREAT and all of you can ride together.
