Blizzard Beach and iPhones

My DD will be at Blizzard Beach in a couple of weeks as part of a trip with her high school marching band. She will need to carry her phone with her so she can receive group texts from the teachers. All other items she will store in a locker. Any one have any suggestions or experience with items that may work for her as far as keeping her phone safe?

I don't really know how she can enjoy the water rides/slides while carrying a phone. It would be a pain to take on some of the slides with a waterproof case and I'm not sure it's even allowed. If she gets a locking device and locks it to a chair she's still going to be away from it for 30-40 minutes every time she rides a different slide. Can't she just keep it in the locker and check it every hour or so ??

If she must carry her phone (which I wouldn't do myself) then get her something like this:

Realize if she does not put the phone in there are seal it correctly, it will leak and her phone will be damaged. I can't imagine that the school doesn't have alternative plans for the waterpark day.

I purchased this from Amazon 2 years ago https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00N4OL0RQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 but only got to test it out last summer at the water park at Cedar Point and it worked great. No leaks. I didn't have it under water a lot but it was in the water a couple of times on the lazy river and wave pool. I then tried it again at our local Great Wolf Lodge and again had no problems. I used it to take pictures and it was nice having it handy for text messages from other family members.

Edited to add - I was very nervous to test it out, but in the end it worked great. I was very careful to make sure I closed it properly.

I talked to my daughter & gave her the options. She is going to share a large locker with another girl & they will just have to go check their phones often. It might do her good to be away from her phone (aka her third arm) for a few hours! Thanks for your input everyone!
