To all PO-FQ experts:
4 adults in 2 rooms staying for 1 week in late Aug. We would like connecting rooms if possible, an upper (quiet) floor, non-smoking, and convenient to food court/buses. Paid for a standard room. Which building or rooms would you request? Where have you stayed and enjoyed?
I would love suggestions on pretty views or the areas we might find the above criteria. Would prefer to stay away from right near the pool and lots of foot traffic.
THANKS!!

I have stayed in all of the buildings except 3. One was the furthest from everything. All of the others were good. Usually I request 4 or 5, since 5 has a side that are courtyards and they are standard. 6 is pretty good also, since it is not that close to the pool and less noisy.

The best thing about POFQ is that it is so small that really no matter where you are, the walk is not that bad at all.

In 2000 we stayed in Building 4 with connecting rooms on the corner of the building overlooking the parking lot turnaround. We loved it because my mom was in a wheelchair and my dad could drive the car almost up to the door. Also it was convenient to the bus and the food court. I don't remember the room number, but I do know that that building has connecting rooms.

Enjoy your trip!

We stayed in building 4 last year and REALLY liked it! Very convenient to the food court and bus stop. We had a very short walk to the side entrance of the food court for quick refills of our drinks and we didn't have to go through the main lobby to reach the food court. We had a first floor room facing the courtyard of building 5. We were close enough but not right on top of the pool area. I would definitely request bldg. 4 again!
Enjoy your stay. :)

We stayed in 4,5 and 6. We like 5 the best and probably 4 would be a close 2nd. Bldg 5 standard rooms do not face the pool and bldg. 4 is probably the furthest from the pool (of the two) but the closest to the food court. When you make requests be sure to list the most important first. When you make requests be sure to list the most important first. For example:

Non-smoking
Top floor
Connecting rooms
Bldg. 5
Corner room

Disney looks at the first request as the one you want most and so forth.

PO is a great resort and I don't think you would be disappointed with any of the bldgs. or rooms.

Building 4 is the closest to the food court and 5 is next to the pool and very popular with families. Might not be as quiet as you like. Bldg. 1 is probably the furthest, but still not far. Would probably be a quiet spot. We stayed in Bldg. 3, third floor facing a courtyard and it was just what we liked. Off the beaten path, but still less than five minutes to bus, food court, and pool. Building 6 would be nice if you were going to take advantage of PO-R. They have a nice lounge with a great piano player, but I think Bldg. 6 is partially smoking if that matters to you.

We stayed in building 5 on the opposite side away from the pool last year and you would never know how close you are to the pool until you walk to it. That is why it is such a popular building. It is very quiet on the side that faces the gardens and there is not a lot of foot traffic. Yet, you are just a hop, skip and jump from the pool. It also has an elevator and I am not sure that all of the buildings do.

My husband and I were in building one. It is back from the main building, but it was right on the canal. We had a corner room which was a bit bigger on the second floor. T here was a short path to the pool area. It was great for adults - very quiet. We would use our refillable mugs in the morning, then rent a locker by the pool and leave them in there. We get back from the parks, get our mugs and get a drink, before we walked back to the room. The resort is so small that it was not a bad room location.
