BLAST! ??? What is it?

Could someone please explain this to me. I keep reading that it is good but what is it?

its an indoor marching band show

you're probably thinking yuck but its awesome!

it has brass and percussion..but it mostly on percussion!!

its awesome what they do...we watch it alot in band

Jules explained it right. It's a bugle & drum corps show w/a twist.... While they're playing the music, they are also performing up on stage, and it's awesome. They start off w/Bolero, then go to a shot called Techno-Lemo, Land of Make Believe, and Malaguena. The colors are stark - black/white, yellow, red... There is also an "act" with drums that is pretty awesome, but I understand that it's been temporarily taken out of the show.

Land of Make Believe is pretty cool because they improvise something different in every show. The choreography and perfect timing of each show is impressive.

I liked the Power of Blast so much at DCA, that I bought the DVD, and while it's not exactly the same - we like it, too.

My dad works with these kids, so I know way too much about the show

Actually, if you like the shorter version of Blast at DCA, I would encourage you to see it on tour when it comes to your town. The whole production is two hours long, instead of the 1/2 at DCA

It's theater meets Drum Corps. Hard to explain, but very much worth it to see it.
