Blackpool Pleasure Beach - Log Flume to close permanently 3rd September

What a shame,not before time though.Let's hope there's a new ride appearing soon. :thumbsup2

I was just at BPB last week, if I`d known the log flume was to close - I would have given it one last shot.
Wonder what will replace it?

I used to love this ride but haven't been on it in ages....might have to have one last go on it for old time's sake :guilty:

They've also cleared a few of the flat rides in the area out of the way - it's either going to be something big or lots of small rides - exactly what remains to be seen - BPPB are very secretive!

In case you see it, there's some red coaster track behind the scenes - don't get your hopes up though - it's old track from when the pepsi max had it's first frop re-profiled a few years back.

Wasn't there a rumor a while ago that pb were going to build something along the lines of the top fuel dragster? I remember reading something about it.

Yep, and you can put that in the same rumour box as the one about the coaster extending out on a new pier across the beach too.

No doubt blackpool will announce something major once the land's completely cleared - it's been too long since a major thrill ride (ignoring the 'off-the-shelf' additions like Bling, Spin Doctor etc), so they're overdue for a biggy.
