BlackBery Storm Question

Looking for BlackBerry Storm users.....I know most of you are Iphone users but I hope someone out there is also a rebel like me.

Can you listen to the podcast by pulling up the website and using the listen now button?

I have heard somewhere that it is possible to sync it with Itunes but I don't want my entire library on my BB. I just want the podcast. Any advice?

Had a quick google and it seems that mp3 streaming (which seems to be what you're after) isn't supported sadly

It doesn't seem to work at all for me. Clicking the "listen now" button doesn't do anything. Finding a "listen now" text link brings me to a basic page with the DIS Unplugged logo and a message about leaving a comment on iTunes. Clicking the links for the "Discussion Show" and "Email Show" mp3's results in an HTTP error "413: Request Entity Too Large"

I do have a portion of my iTunes library synced to my storm. The syncing works, but it just gets the files over to the blackberry. I haven't been able to keep all my smart playlists. You should be able to download the show, import it into the Blackberry desktop software then sync it via USB to your phone.

I never thought I'd say this, but the blackberry storm really makes me miss my iPhone. The iPhone can load the show over the air with no need to hook to the computer.

I don't have a blackberry but can you pull RSS feeds with the storm? If so you can place any netcast's RSS feed into the RSS reader and pull the netcast/podcast that way. The DIS Unplugged RSS feed can be found here.

I used to listen to all the podcasts straight from the mainpage on mine before the update to let you get them straight onto your phone in it's iTunes

There is a BB app called Podtrapper. That is what I use on my BB Bold and Christy uses it on her Curve.

My folks live in Friendswood, So I can drive down and install it for you :3) !! Actually, it works very well. You can use the built in media player to listen to the podcasts using a bluetooth, A2DP headset

Or just use a regular bluetooth headset or teathered headset.

Also, make sure you have a microSD card in your storm. I have an 8gb in my BB. I my blackberry as a biga$$ thumb drive.

DH bought me The Voyager for Xmas and I do love it (and him)
but yes
sometimes I wish it'd been an IPhone. I think it might've been more user friendly. I'm still trying to grasp what it can do.

I imagine that the Storm probably comes with better headphones than the iPhone tho, mine literally just broke off in my ear when i caught the wire on my leg, giving me a big headache and having to look for some new ones

Very easy to install. It has a free 30 day trial, so dowload everything when you install the software. I think the software is only $9.00, but well worth it.

the Storm's advantage is for the business minded...less fun things on it but still great mp3 player and online music and videos and such. Better on multi-tasking than than iPhone and better at e-mail. iPhone is slightly better with the browsing and better with media. iPhone also has more apps but the blackberry app store is opening this month.

iPhone is much easier if you have a mac too
