It would make a quite a nice gown but not for a wedding. Looks a bit too funereal to me, like a bride in mourning!

Debbie Hayward wears 'Courtney' a two- piece gown by Augusta Jones, here shown in black duchess satin. The embroidery and beading are the beautiful 'Turkish Delight' design in silver and ivory. The skirt is a slim 'A' line and the bodice is a long line design giving an elegant and understated look, this lets the unusual colour give a greater impact. The veil is a black edged ivory version of the popular C102c Richard Design style. The tiara is by Elizabeth Smith.

I think if she had a smile on her face the dress wouldn't look so depressing. And lose the veil and add a sparkly tiarra and I could see it.

no, hate it. Too funereal. For any event but a wedding. I'm not super traditional but i'm not comfortable with black for a bride. I could deal with the light pastels like pale rose/pink but not black.

I agree that the veil and the facial expression make that picture :scared1: . I'm not against black for a wedding dress - my grandmothers both got dressed in black. An elegant black dress, no problem. A black bridal gown with a veil - weird.

ya the vail makes it look a little creepy for some reason.

That veil needs to go ... or be in black if you've got to have it. The tiara should be made out of barbed wire or something. The whole veil and tiara thing just doesn't work w/the dress. What's up w/the bride's expression? You could at least pretend to like the dress and be happy if you're going to model it! If you're going to look sad, then you need to have the goth white face w/black lipstick thing going.

ETA -- it's better than that red hootchie wedding gown that chick was wearing on Bridezillas the other night.
