Black Out dates...here is a good laugh!!

So my best friend just called me from MGM...She lives in Virginia and Florida. She drove all the way to Disney this am from South Florida with her 4 day park hoppers.....OOpps....Blackout dates!!!

She had asked me if I wanted to go, but I told her that I was blacked out on my seasonal pass...it never occured to her to check her tickets...

Oh my!!!

Anyway..she said it is VERY hot and Very crowded there today...

We had just got pur season passes and went in July to check out MK. We got to the ticket booth to see where we trade the paper in to get the actual card and the CM told us "sorry". My DB was so mad. Needless to say, we upgraded to the better season pass.

It has paid for itself though.

Can you explain this to me? I bought season passes for my family for July 2 through the 10th. I never heard of any blackout dates. I know there are blackout dates for the Florida resident season pass. Is that what you are referring to? You're making me nervous!

FL resident seasonal passes have several blackout dates including most of the summer. The Play 4 FL passes also have blackout days. What kind of seasonal pass are you talking about Diskim??

2004 Seasonal Block Out Dates
4/3/04 - 4/15/04
6/12/04 - 8/19/04
12/18/04 - 1/1/05

DisKim. Maybe you bought an annual, not "season" pass as you typed, though I am not sure where you are from. Only FL residents can get seasonal.

OK, I feel stupid. I almost had a heart attack for nothing. I have the annual pass. I am not a Florida resident. I am so neurotic over my trip. I was imagining getting there and finding out I couldn't use my passes. Thanks guys. By the way, I'm brunette. You'd never know it!!

Too funny in a bad way, long drive just to get to pay twice as much...I remember back in 2000 they actually lifted the blackout dates for AK...and also offered AKL savanna view for a little over $100.00 the AKL had just opened and there wasn't anyone at the Resort or the Park...that's also when they started charging $6.00 for valet parking.
