Black Friday Shopping at Outlets and DD

We are going to the World Thanksgiving 2011. We will be staying until either Saturday or Sunday after Thanksgiving and my girlfriend and I love the day after Thanksgiving (Black Friday) Shopping. I read on one of the Outlet malls' websites that they have what they call Pajama Black Friday shopping. Has anyone done this while they were there during Thanksgiving? Would it be worth getting up before the sun to do it. We like to shop but it would also be neat to say that we went Black Friday shopping at Disneyworld! What are your thoughts and experiences.

We did it a couple years ago. I think the malls opened at midnight. Anyway, we were lined up before they opened. We did not wear pajamas. After the oulet malls, we did the regular shopping and then went back to the condo to sleep. We liked it. We felt it was easier to stay up than to get up early in the am. We did not last overly long into the morning (being over 50), but DD (17), could have gone all day.

Keep an eye on their websites to see when they open. Our local outlet mall opened at 11pm Thanksgiving evening and the place was totally packed. People were leaving their cars at the side of the highway and walking in. We go walk around for the fun of it but we don't buy anything because it's just too crowded and not worth the wait.

I have no clue what the midnight shopping is like at Orlando Premium Outlets, but at Wrentham Premium in Massachusetts is it crazy. There is always a huge back-up on I-95 and people have to park really far away. Every year it is a big news story with them showing video of all the traffic. I am a bargain-crazed shopper and I won't even try it!

I made the mistake of trying to go to the Outlets in Pigeon Forge TN a few years ago. Took me more than 1 1/2 hours to get into the lot and find a parking space on the grass (all the fields behind were full of cars). Went into a couple of stores and decided immediately there was nothing worth going through the long lines for. Spent more than an hour getting back out of the lot.

I go Black Friday shopping every year but I've never seen anything like that.
