Has anyone here ever been to Lowes on Black Friday? I was wondering if it is as hectic there as it is at places like Bestbuy, etc.
Thanks!-Stacy

I have not been to Lowe's, but I did go to Home Depot two years ago on Black Friday. It was very organized. They were well staffed and everyone working there was friendly and helping load carts with the BF deals. They had all the specials in the front of the store. Made it super easy!

I realize you asked about Lowe's, but my guess is that it would be about the same. Good luck!

I've been several times and there were very shoppers every time. More workers than shooper, actually. But, I live in a small town. :goodvibes

I have it was a few years ago because I wanted this super huge wet vac(had a super low price), it wasnt a must so I went after I hit all the other stores, They had one left, I do remember they had plenty of associates working and I was in and out of the store in no time.

I have stopped at Lowe's on the way home (about 10-11 am)...I was able to get what I wanted even though the quantities were almost depleted. It was not crazy like the mall and plenty of help in the aisles...:goodvibes

The one year we wanted something from Lowes - we were able to order it online starting about 11 or so thanksgiving night. Shipping was free - and I had it within about3 or 4 days!!

DH wirks at Lowes and it has never been Best Buy Crazy. I'd say it's not any worse than a regular W/E crazy at his store.

I'd better not show this thread to my wife about all the "there was help everywhere..." comments. My wife works at Lowes and with how they have cut nearly everyone out, there is no one working in her store.

She is head cashier, works with 1 cashier, no loaders or helpers, management is non-existent to help out in any way and the single cashier line runs halfway through the store in the evenings. She has 5 hours worth of work to do from 9:30-10:00 because she is stuck running a register from the time she gets in until after they close instead of doing her actual job as head cashier.

Oh, and when they announce the store is closed, people, it means the store is closed! It doesn't mean continue shopping at your leisure until you decide you want to get checked out while all the employees are standing up front waiting to be able to do their close-down jobs and go home. My wife said they had someone raising **** last night because they thought the last customer had left at the 9:00 closing time, doors were locked, my wife was taking down the registers when this lady shows up at 9:20 expecting everyone to bow to her 20 minutes after the store closed.

The Lowes around here is never crazy and it isn't one of those places you have to be right at opening to get the advertised items. But depending on what you're looking at, you may not have to go to the store - right now, Lowes is offering free shipping with no minimum purchase on anything that is eligible for parcel shipping, and according to their ad the Black Friday sales start online at 12:01 am tonight/tomorrow morning.

My wife just got home from work a bit ago. I let her vent for a while.

16 people just lazily strolling around Lowes shopping without a care in the world half an hour AFTER the announcement that they were CLOSED!

Is it just our area or are people all complete ignorant rude idiots everywhere?
