Does anyone remember the name of the Black Coral artist that Kevin mentioned during the cruise primer podcast?

It's Bernard K. Passman. He passed away a few years ago but I'm pretty sure his orginial work is still being sold.

The work is wonderful and all of the stores are friendly and inviting even if you just want to look around at the fabulous sculptures.

My father introduced me to his work years ago when he purchased some black coral cufflinks. Then last year I purchased a beautiful butterfly charm and black coral enhanced chain for my Mom. It's expensive jewlery, but they really all signed works of art. I'm really picky with my "real" jewlery and I love looking at his stuff.

I agree with miksilver completely.

Beautiful, beautiful stuff.

His stuff is pricey, ,,,but you are buying little works of art.

We went on a Royal Caribbean East cruise in 2005 and saw the Black Coral showrooms in St. Thomas.

It is very beautiful!!!

It is also expensive, but he was the only one who could harvest the coral so it makes it much more valuable.

I don't think Nassau has a reputable showroom for Black Coral, but I could be wrong.

BTW, don't forget to get your tanzanite!

I'm actually wearing my Passman bracelet today. As everyone else has said, it's very pricey, but it's art.

The Passman Gallery is full of beautiful jewelry and sculpture. You don't *have* to spend money to look at everything.

Just enjoy.

Kathy
