black bridesmaid dresses?

Has anyone done black bridesmaids dresses? I am thinking of a Halloween wedding... not 100% positive about it yet... but I thought these were cute in black with an orange or purple... or maybe varied by girl.... ribbon...

I told each bridesmaid to choose their own black dress and black shoes. I thought they looked great

my SIL had black bridesmaids dresses at her wedding and they were adorable!! they were a tealength with a V neck top...so cute!

One of my BM's is getting married in september 09 and we are wearing black dresses by levkoff. I love them, they are very simple and elegent. Best part is I really do think I could wear it again if I shortened it (I know that is the bridesmaid lie that we tell ourdelves, but its true)

I let my bridesmaids each bring their own all-black dress and they loved it. I got lots of compliments on how nice it was that they were consistent, but could all express their own style.

I just went with my bridesmaids last weekend to get their dresses. We also did black Alfred Angelo.

We went to the actual Alfred Angelo store, which was about an hour and a half drive to Allentown. Not sure if there is a store near you, but it was nice to go to a store that was exclusively AA and probably cheaper than buying AA at another boutique. And as for your idea about the black and orange..I love it! And the saleslady said any two-tone dress you could combine any of the 55 colors.

My brother and sil let us pick our own black dresses. It was nice because we all had such different body types and were different ages (me being only 17 at the time) and her sil being 30+

I had 6 BM's . Three wore black dress, three wore pink. We got them at Davids Bridal. The alfred is cute but that material can make people look bigger than they are and isn't flattering on many. In all it can look cheap. I would go for a chiffon or silk.

My Bridemaids are going to be wearing black.... We're just getting the dresses off the high street, but we're planning on having them wear black dresses and green accessories. They're going to have a corsage to pin to the dress and their flowers, so it won't look too dark on the pictures....

My my dad and stepmother got married and we had black BM dresses but they were kinda old ladyish...lol. I think black is an awesome choicel bc there are SOOO many dresses out there in black so there's lotsa styles to choose from.

The theme of my wedding is black and white and all of my maids will be wearing black. I tend to think that this will make our wedding more formal-which is exactly what we're going for.
