Anybody have a preference between the two? I was looking for a decent steak at a decent price (and a place where the rest of my family can get something they want) near the World before consigning myself to a week of Disney prices, and these two looked like possibilities. LongHorn is my favorite chain steakhouse, but they don't seem to be real close to the parks.

Personally, we have eaten at Black Angus and did not like it at all!!!:sad2: I have never eaten at your other choice however, we did eat at Logans which is a little down the road from Black Angus and we found it to be awesome. Great family atmosphere, great choices and won't break the bank. Good luck!

Thanks for the tip! We had a Logan's a couple of hometowns ago that we liked very much, but I didn't know there was one nearby. I will definitely add it to the list.

There's also a Lone Star on 535, which is basically a knock-off of Longhorn; accross the street from Bahama Breeze.

Nothing against Alehouse, but steak isn't exactly what they're known for. I'm sure it's on the menu, but definitely more of a burgers and wings kind of place. Never eaten at Black Angus--the outside decor just screams "tacky" and has scared me off.

We did Black Angus on US 192 once and it was the most disgusting meal of our lives. One of our party ordered lobster and steak and you could smell the lobster was off before it arrived at the table. Upon reaching the table we told the waiter it was no good. Instead of apologising and being pleasant he went back to the kitchen and came back with the same lobster and said that the chef had tried it and it was OK.

We couldn't believe it and we couldn't get out quick enough. If you are looking for inexpensive...try the Outback Steakhouse. The ribeye and the strip are good but my favourite is the cursted filet.

Other than that go to Sand Lake Rd to Ruth's Chris or Mortons.

I decided to try the Black Angus on a whim, after all any steak house with a statue of John Wayne outside has to be good. I was wrong, that was the worst meal I had during my trip. They even ruined the filet.

Well, we always eat at the Black Angus at Crossroads near DTD and always enjoy it. We have not tried the 192 location.

Miller's Ale House just off 535 in Lake Buena Vista is GREAT!

We visited for the first time on our last visit and found the food very good (too many great choices), and cost was reasonable.

We will be going back again during our visit next week.

I just got back from orlando and ate at both places. If you want a burger/wings type of place, Orlando Ale House (off of SR535) is perfect. Great prices and very kid friendly. We had a great dinner there, good nachos.
Black Angus Steakhouse (535) was very good also. Don't confuse this with Morton's or Peter Lugar's here in NYC. It's like an Outback, but a little better in my opinion.
