Welcome to Lucky week 13! This is our last chance week and last chance workout!!! Next week we weigh in our final results. Lets make this the best week yet and finish strong!!!:thumbsup2

Remember to weigh in and report your results to Brenda (Dare2Dream) by PM or email. brenda@kbelectric.biz

Please share what you learned throughout this challenge: about yourself, your strengths, surprises, friendships formed... anything and everything!

Lets have a great week BLUE!

Hi Blue! I lost 1 pound this week.

I'm packing for Disney tonight, leave in the morning - yea. This has been a great challenge for me. It has forced me to be accountable each week and really try to think about what I'm putting into my mouth. As of this morning, I have lost a total of 18 pounds and dropped one dress size.

I had an interview this afternoon. I went into my closet and tried on a suit that has had the tags on it for 1 and 1/2 years. I tried it on and it fit!!! I told myself, this is why I'm participating in this challenge. I wore it and felt so proud - I thought of my Blue team!

I want to thank you Blue. You are the ones that have put me in this wonderful place. I still have pounds to loose, but I see how good it feels, and I'm ready to keep going. My goal was to loose 15 pounds before my Disney trip and I have. Now maybe I want be so camera shy.

I hope everyone has a great weekend and a powerful next week. I'll have my laptop with me next week, so I'll try to check in if I can. Keep it up Blue - we have come this far, it is almost over - and I'm going to miss you! - Lisa.

Great job Lisa! Have fun...I hope the economy will hold out for my disney trip to happen this time next year...

I gained this week, but an old staff member of mine stopped by the office today and noticed my overall weight loss! A total of 24.5 so far for this challenge!

I'm reporting in as my biggest personal weekly lost - 3.2 lbs this week and I sweated for every single ounce of it! - This brings my total total for this challenge to 10 pounds. :woohoo:

This group has inspired me in ways I can not begin to articulate. 12 weeks ago I posted about hating to exercise and now I find I actually enjoy it most of the time. I've gone from never exercising to exercising on avg. 4 days a week for an hour and I'm trying for 5 days followed by a 20 min walk on Sat & Sun. I'm not there yet - but I'm trying. I'm thinking positively. I KNOW I can do this. It may not be as fast as some people can lose but I've worked really hard to make changes that are permanent habits. Thank you all - even the people would were a more active part earlier on (weren't their 40+ of us at one point in time?) Because of everyone's willingness to share their own struggles and successes, I've found inspiration that I'm not alone in this. I've also tried new things I was previously afraid (or embarrassed) to do. Thank you all for being such great team members! Congratulations Lisa and Shelley and the remaining Blue Team members (Vija, Brenda, Linda, Leanne,Tammy, Jen & Judy) - and if I forgot someone - my deepest apologies - I'm trying to match names with screen names and hope I got everyone -(I feel like I'm missing someone) on your continuing commitment to this challenge.

Have a great week!

Lisa

Hey everyone, I am TIRED!!!! I was called in yesterday all day at work, and then again at 12:30 am. I can happily report I lost a pound this week. :cool1: I am sure that it helped that work has been very busy!

hobbester, congrats on making that weight loss goal, and wonderful news about the suit! Sending good luck wishes regarding the interview!:thumbsup2
shewelch, 24.5#!!!! that is awesome! The comment certainly must have made you feel like you were on :cloud9: all day! Way to go to stay strong and commit to yourself.

njmom23grls, way to go on your biggest loss so far, and learning to love exercise! I love your positive attitude, you will go far and success will be yours!!!

Well, I am happy to report that I am doing very well this week. Hopefully I can keep it going!:cool1: How is everyone else doing?

Hi everyone - how's it going this week blue? I feel pretty good this week - exercising everyday so far - challenege will be this weekend with 2 holiday parties - - just wanted to say hang in there everyone! These are trying times and I wish everyone well - both in this BL challenge and in your "real" life

Lisa

I was just looking back at my weigh-ins and began to get frustrated that I have been hovering around the same few pounds for several weeks. Then it hit me--- I am well on my way to have Thanksgiving pounds gone (and hopefully more) before the end of the challenge!!! This will be the first year in a LONG time that I won't carry turkey weight into Christmas. :santa:

I have been exercising each weekday morning and staying on point during the week, which produces an overall net loss... AND, I can actually live like this! When I want to lose faster, I have to be more diligent on weekends too, but the occasional holiday party is not going to knock me off the wagon for good.

Keep it up Blue!!! Thanks for the support.:woohoo:

Hang in there with those holiday parties!!! It is tough for sure during this time frame. Exercising everyday is going to make a difference!:thumbsup2

Woohooo! Turkey weight is gone!!! Fantastic! Your exercising commitment and staying on point is going to help you get through the holidays. Super!

So what did you guys think of the Biggest Loser last night? I am happy Michelle is in the Finale, still can't stand Vicky, and Ed and Heba have me doing this...:confused3 What are they thinking? who did you vote for? Ed or Heba? I voted for Ed. But I think they could both pull off winning both, 250,000 and 100,000. That would be interesting.

I am doing pretty good still, work has me very busy, which is great, keeps me active and getting in alot of walking at work.

Hear Ye Hear Ye, the Weightkeeper speaks

Faithful loser thanks for hanging in there. Let's look at week 12.

Now let's check the current score. We have Black with 5 weeks at #1, Red with 4 weeks, and Blue with 2 weeks. Let's see what happened this week.

The week 12 WISH BL 6 Challenge Biggest Loser Team

#3-The Red Team-.032%
To be #1 they would have had to lose an additional 2.5 pounds

#2-The Blue Team-.2%
To be #1 we would have had to lose an additional 1.6 pounds

and now announcing our weekly Biggest Loser Team Champions

#1-The Black Team-0.297%

Congratulations Black! The score now sits at Black 6, Red 4, and Blue 2 weeks at #1. The Black team has two less members than the other teams but they do have some dedicated losers. Even though they had the most gainers for the week, 3, they also had the most losers with 5 and those losers had a great week.

I noticed this week that every gain really affects the team since our numbers are so small. Work hard this week to finish out as losers. Next week will be our final week and I promise I will include fun facts and trivia for you. We will also name all our final losers that have finished out this challenge. Good Luck to everyone as we finish up our last week of BL6.

What are you doing with your last week of BL? Please take a moment and post about your BL experience. Is there someone that really inspired you. Tell us about it. What worked for you, what didn't? Do you have any suggestions for our next round? Would you be willing to help as part of Biggest Loser Central, our faithful volunteers? We did lose 2 co-captains along the way. Could you help next time? Post, PM or email me to let me know.

Right now we do not have any BL7 plans. Last year a new season started in January but I have not heard anything about a new TV season yet. Stay tuned. If there is interest we will be doing this again. Do I need to step back and let someone else organize this next time?

Every loser still with us please check in and voice your thoughts. We're glad you are still here and want to hear from you.

Have a healthy day!

Well, I am here, or rather back, but have been too busy to post anywhere.

I will write more later.

We had a great time at WDW, but a huge blood blister on my left heel forced me to bail out of the race at the 5th mile - I did not get to 7 as I had hoped.

The heat and humidity got to my sister in law also - she finished but did not PR and her time was slower than in her recent past.

The blister also forced me to use a ECV in the parks - which was beyond humiliating, one day it was so bad I felt like apologizing for being part of the human race. But it was so painful it felt like I was walking on a bottle cap.

Even with the ECV, I still managed to walk a couple of miles a day, just back and forth to the buses, resort, etc.

I hope we have something going = some kind of support thread and hoping there will be another BL challenge or something because I need you guys.

Some of the running lists are wonderful, but they don't really understand that I am a different "racer" than they are.

I hated people looking at me in that machine - pitying me and I was on a pretty good pity party myself for awhile. Towards the end, however, I saw the ECV as a blessing, and was glad Disney has the foresight to provide them for folks who have a hard time walking around. I got to enjoy more than I would have on my feet.

I will write more later (by the weekend) when I get more time.

Have a magical losing day folks...

Linda

Linda, welcome back!:goodvibes I was thinking about you alot. I know that 7 was your goal, but you made it to 5!!!!!!

I remember you sent me a link a while back to a race report you did and you met a man in the elevator. He gave you kudos for getting up and doing it, and I give you a celebratory CHEER for getting up and doing it!:cheer2: You perservered through your illness, kept on going and tried your best. I AM VERY PROUD OF YOU!!!!!

I am glad that you had the use of the ECV and in the end had fun on your trip. Disney is truly magical, and I am so glad you got to feel some of the magic!

Can't wait to hear more!

Hi Blue Team! I'm sorry I have been AWOL. We have been so busy. I was doing really well this week until Tuesday. This woman that has worked here for 38 years brought an entire buffet of homemade goodies. She insisted that I try and I thought I could maintain but guess what, one led to another and another. I fell off the wagon big time.

I am happy to say that I got back on last night and I'm hoping that I have a good Thursday to make up for it. I have missed you all but wanted all of you to know that I have lurked from time to time and I find each of you so inspiring. Thank you to each of you for helping me to lose 14.5 lbs to date. A BIG CONGRATULATIONS to everyone for sticking with this challenge.

I really wish we could keep going. I'm not done and not ready to lose my new friends.

I hope everyone is having a great week!

Leanne

Hi Blue

Sorry things have gotten so busy. I'm so glad that you guys have stuck through until the end, and I really appreciate those of you who are active posters. Even when I am too busy to post, I try to take time to read through, and it really helps me to keep on track. I have lost 13 pounds since the beginning of the Biggest Loser Challenge, and I've lost a total of 34 pounds since I started pursuing a healthier lifestyle this summer. I believe that WISH and the Blue Team has been an integral part of that journey, and I can't thank you enough for that. I've reached my mini goal of making it below 150, and the difference in the way my body feels is amazing.

I'd especially like to thank those of you who posted about the different activities that you do. Whether it be our fearless leader breaking boards or Linda proving that runners come in all different forms, it has inspired me to think outside the box when it comes to exercise (yes, I can attempt yoga...and accomplish more than corpse pose).

Brenda--the job you have done organizing and presenting the information has been amazing. I can not thank you enough. I really, really, really wanted to be the biggest loser one week and have that clippie...I didn't manage it, but the wanting was enough to keep me on plan. I know it took a lot of work to do what you did, and I want you to know how much it was appreciated.

To all of you--stay strong through the holiday season and find ways to fit in that exercise. I've discovered that trudging through the foot of snow we've got on the ground while pulling my kiddos on their sled is rewarding for all involved :rotfl:
