Good Rainy morning here in Jersey. I did not weigh in this morning since I am really feeling crappy and if the numbers were bad I would feel worse than I feel. It is so bad that I am calling the doctor to see when she can fit me in .

In case you have any questions about how the Biggest Loser runs on WISH, please visit this thread. http://disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1691465. Brenda did a GREAT job organizing everything and detailing the process. (Thanks Brenda!!!)

Please make sure to weigh in today and PM your weight and what team you are on to dare2dream or email to brenda@kbelectric.biz. If using email please also include your DIS screen name.
* When reporting state your weight in pounds ie xxx pounds. You may use 1/10 of pounds if you would like ie xxx.x pounds.

Good luck with some good numbers today.

Friday’s Question of The Day:

Name a favorite Disney “moment” of yours (something that happened at a park, on DCL, watching a movie, etc. Anything that is special to you. And of course, if you have more than one moment you want to share… go right ahead!)

I'm down 2.8 pounds for the week.:cool1:

My favorite Disney moment:

All of my trips with my DD's and husband. I love seeing how happy they are at Disney World. From meeting their favorite characters, the rides, etc. it is such a joy seeing Disney through their eyes! Also when we went in May we went with my parents and my brother & his family. My parents hadn't been since I was about 3 so 36 years! My dad especially had the time of his life, especially with his grandchildren. It was bittersweet since he had a heart attack and was revived in December and had quadruple bypass surgery! All in all I just LOVE Disney World and almost every moment is MAGICAL!

Good luck everyone on your weigh ins and have another super week where as my WW instructor says "I'll see LESS of you next week!":goodvibes

Stayed the same this week. No gain but no loss which I'll take.

My favorite moment years ago when I scored Cinderella Breakfast for DD who liked the princesses at the time. Her face at breakfast made everything worth it.

Down 1 lb
My favorite Disney moment is one I went with my parents and son. It was my parents and sons first time.. I cried every time they did something, it was like watching two children at Disney it was the best and after we spent a week a Disney, we went on the Magic and had a blast it was the best!!

Down 2.1 - not as high as I would like, but after the week that I had - I ate out twice, and did not get my 2 hrs of exercise in everyday like I need to - I am pleased as punch to get any loss - and 2 lbs is very respectable!

My favorite Disney story: About 1 1/2 years ago, I surprised my kiddos with a trip to Disney. DH had already flown down for a conference. I woke them up early, and said " I have a good idea! Let's go to Disney World today." "I have a good idea" was my oldest's favorite saying at the time. The response was so funny. DS responded with a very serious "Yes - that is a good idea" There was no screaming or jumping - they just accepted that we were going to pick up and go to Disney. Just par for the course. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I woke DS up for school, and he looks at me and says "Mommy, I have a good idea - lets go to Disney World today." I so wish that I could have accommodated him. Because going to Disney World IS a very good idea.

No gain no loss, here. So busy getting ready to leave for our vacation and all the end of fiscal spending at work, I do not know where my time goes!

My favorite Disney moment is always the same. Driving under the sign when you enter WDW. That is when DH and I know we are on vacation. Takes a big load off every time!

Haven't weighed yet, but I'm pretty certain it is a gain. I've been totally OP, exercised WAY more than I have been and that usually means a gain. It will eventually catch up, but....Like you, Dona, I'm not ready to see the scale & be disappointed yet!

Yesterday's question: When I reach goal, I'm going to take a trip....maybe a cruise. And, I'll FINALLY reach Lifetime at WW!!!

Today's question: Well, I'm the only one in my family who loves Disney, so I've only been twice...my honeymoon in 1982, 1996 with kids & 1998 with kids. 1996 visit, DD was 5. The first character we ran into just inside the park was the Queen of Hearts....DD looked 'her' up & down, turned to us & screamed "Why is she wearing boys shoes?" followed by "Why are her arms so hairy???" Apparently it was a male in the costume!!! And the 'queen' quickly vacated the area!

The other, also with DD, was our 1998 visit just after Animal Kingdom opened. A very young armadillo decided it liked DD's foot and would not leave us alone. Kept licking her foot & sandal, and followed us if we moved. A park attendant finally had to come carry it away. fortunately, DD loves animals & wasn't scared & the armadillo didn't bite!

More later after I weigh ......

It is not just one but a series that all has to do with Beauty and the Beast. When my ds2 was a baby B&B had just come out. We took him and his older brother even though he was only about 5 months old. When the ballrooom scene came on he started to cry so I stood in the back of the moie theater and rocked him until he calmed down and we sat and watched the rest of the movie.

When he was 4 my parents gave us tickets to see B&B on Broadway with my sister and her family. His cousin was only 3 but we watched as they sat and never took their eye off the stage.

When ds2 was a junior there was rumors that his school was going to do B&B for their musical. It was not approved since we are too close to NY. During his junior year they announced that that B&B would be closing in July we gave him tickets to see it with his cousin for his birthday. He has gotten into working backstage in his school's shows so to take him to a broadway show was a real treat. He and I sat and kept pointing out things to each other throughout the entire show.(I thought dh was going to kill me) It was great to hear him talk about how everything moved and the different costumes.

The 2nd of AUg it was announced that his school would be doing B&B as their school's musical and ds2 was co-stage manager with his friend. Their group won several awards from a local theater that gives awards to high school productions in our county. They won Best Musical for last year. Quite a way to end his high school career.

I know this was a long moment but it is short when you consider it has been going on for 18 years.

OK - guys you are too quiet!! Let's hear about your day. Who got some exercise in? I had an appointment this morning, so I missed the gym. But I did use the bike and trailer to pick DS up from school.

Also, out of nothing but pure curiosity I borrowed a friend's blood glucose meter and discovered that I have textbook normal blood sugar. I wasn't concerned about my blood glucose, but I really wanted to track it - kinda like a science experiment - I am such a geek :teacher:

I had a pretty good but my back is killing me and I just can't get comfortable. I have been on the heating pad and taken some alleve. I do have an appointment with my doctor on Tuesday. No exercise for me today I think I have to take it one day at a time.

How is everyone else doing today?

I will not be on tomorrow. It is Parent's Weekend at ds2's school and we are going down for the day. There is not much that we want to do so we will take him out to lunch and then maybe a movie. Maybe the new George Clooney/Brad Pitt one. It seems pretty funny.

Hope everyone else is doing okay.

I just fixed dinner and I tried one of the recipes Rocco used on tues. BL episode. I did the curry cauliflower and turkey soup. I made a few changes - didn't have turkey cutlets, so I used ground turkey breast instead. And I used 3 tablespoons of curry. Way more than the recipe called for, but we love Indian food, and the tsp or whatever the recipe called for did not have enough curry flavor. DH gave it a huge thumbs up!

donac - ouch - feel better soon, and enjoy your parents weekend!

goldcupmom  As if it is not hard enough to lose weight - we have to be super patient on top of everything else. :woohoo: for staying on plan, and getting that exercise in! Keep at it!

Fridayfun - VACATION!!! I remember, back when I had a job that would actually pay me, all the the stuff that goes on at fiscal year end. I know that you deserve that vacation - HAVE A GREAT TIME!!!!

jakenjacksmom - what a cute memory! I love watching people on their first Disney trip. It's always extra magical. Plus more cruise talk - you people are going to drive me over the edge! ;) Only 14 more months until I can start planning a cruise!

simpilotswife - 0>+1 doncha love weightloss math??:teacher: Cindy's breakfast - the most overpriced eggs you will ever fight to eat....and worth every penny!!!! So glad that your DD loved it.

knovak    so far, you are the biggest loser this week! Way to Go!! So.... you missed the question of the day where we tell everyone how we picked our Dis name - can you fill us in??

Down .6. I'll take it.

Was CRAVING gooey chocolate something...Bought a brownie at the store and topped it with my Skinny Cow ice cream, cool whip and a cherry. Took care of the fix. I feel better now that I got that out of the way. Counted the points against my weekly allowance of 35, so did not feel guilty. Sometimes, you just have to give in.

OK- Favorite Disney moment-:yay: I have one that not a lot of people can claim, but we were chosen as the family that opens up the Magic Kingdom. It was SOOOOOOO cool! DH, DD (age 18) and I went to the park early for a "Keys to the Kingdom Tour" and my daughter was asking the cast member about how they choose a family. She's very enthusiastic, but they told her she had to have her parents with her. We were getting ready to go to the tour, but we figured this was a once in a lifetime experience, so off we went in the old time car to the back of the park and hopped the train in Toon Town with all of the characters and rode the train into Main Street. They announced our name, did the countdown and gave us "pixie dust" pixiedust: to throw out to the crowd waiting to get into the park. It was the BEST. They were also kind enough to re-schedule us on another tour that day so we would'nt miss it. So, that's my Disney moment. I don't think we'll ever get to top that one.

leanne - I think that is the coolest Disney story I have heard!! And I love that Disney realized that your DD was still your "little girl"

Wow! Yesterday really got away from me and I didn't remember reporting my weight until sometime around 1 a.m. Needless to say, I didn't get up & do it....

Anyway, as I feared the evil scale showed a 1.5 lb gain....oh well....life goes on.......

Didn't make it to WW yesterday, only got in about a 20 min fast walk. Spent the whole day trying to plan DD's HS choir trip, giving a few possible options in different price ranges. Director wants a cruise, & really, that's the most cost effective. But, LOADS of fundraising in our future. Only 3 days out of LA, but kids will LOVE it! If it flies.......

Today is DH work picnic. Used to be held at the zoo...something to do, nice area, lots of room. This year they decided to have it at the Hispanic Cultural Center.....3 hrs of nothing basically. Not sure we will go, but he should probably make an appearance. I'm really not wanting burgers, hot dogs, slaw & potato salad....I want to go to the ZOO!!!!!!

Saturday

Hi Black team! Hope everyone is doing well. I lost 1 lb this week. My weight loss has been slow and steady lately. I need to 'step it up" this week but I'll take any loss.

Yesterday's question: I have many wonderful memories with my family at WDW. :wizard: My dd (now 15) was 13 months on her first visit and ds(now 11) was almost 2 on his first trip. They have been 7-8 times each. Each age and stage is precious. However; my best ever memories are our DCL memories. One in particular was when ds 9 turned to me on an excursion and said Thanks for planning all of this for us Mom. This is the best vacation ever!! I was so touched that he took time to appreciate the experience.

Today's exercise = 1 hour on the elliptical and nautilus machines. :scared: I will go for a walk later today.

Hope you are all loser's next week!!

leanne - I think that is the coolest Disney story I have heard!! And I love that Disney realized that your DD was still your "little girl"

And 2 years later my "little girl" became a Cast Member in the College Program. One of the proudest moments of my life.

No exercise today, however I did a lot of walking around the mall today shopping for WDW/cruise clothes for next month. Lots of summer stuff still out and at rock bottom prices. All of my other summer clothes are now too big, so I had to get something that fits. Have gone down 2 sizes and it's a great feeling being able to shop in a "regular" store and not in Plus sizes. Also picked up bargains for my husband on summer clothes. I think I got about 5 shirts and a pair of shorts for $70. That's really cheap since the "Big&Tall" men's clothes are expensive.

First time today that I'm sitting down. Still under my daily points total, so I'll splurge on a 3 point WW dessert.

Hope everyone had a good day. Keep up the great work, Black Team!

leanne2255 - congrats! I can not wait until I can say any of my clothes are too big!

Good Morning everyone! Five days to vacation! Today is my last day of 12 hour days:banana: . Now just to finish getting ready! Not too worried about gaining while cruising We are usually so busy, I don't have time to eat!

On another note - coworker woke up yesterday w/ Bell's Palsy. He worked his entire shift before we (oncoming shift) saw and yelled at him to get to the ER. Dr said it should go away in a week or so. That is scary, the thought you can just wake up with a paralyzed face, just out of the blue!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!

Hey everyone
I have not had a chance to post since actually joining the Black Team. I had an extremely busy week and thus did not get to weigh in before Friday. I probably couldn't have posted anyway. I am happy to report that I lost 2.5 lbs. Don't ask me how...I ate off my plan, didn't walk much and was super stresed. But...I'll take it. LOL! So I'll have a bigger number for this week's weigh in. I have been trying to break past the 15 lb mark from the summer and now I have! :) I already went shopping today and set up my salad for the week. I'm ready to go!

I am down 1.4 lbs for the week.

I have many favorite Disney moments, but my all time favorite moment was the look on my son's face the first time we went to Disney when we came up the back side of the castle and he got an upclose look of it. He was in awe. He was 4 at the time. He couldn't take his eyes off of it. It makes me smile just remembering it. He had the magic in his eyes and he still has it today. He's my Disney buddy.

I haven't exercised much this weekend. It's been real busy here. But, I will be at the gym bright and early in the morning.

I hope everybody has a great Losing Week!!! Go Black Team!!!!!!!!
