this may be the wrong place to put this but I wonder how many have had funny or unusual occurences at WDW ...like everyone no doubt.
our funniest was probably going on spaceship earth first riders of the day and oops someone forgot to turn out the lights!...gazing out at the "Universe" just wasn't the same when there weren't any stars, just a big white roof, a bunch of doors and ladders, etc scattered around. we did tell them when we got down and they seemed pretty upset but it was a nice little glimpse 'behind the magic' for free.

any takers?

Once when I was at DisneyLand, my group and I were riding Splash Mountain and I guess they were closing b/c they shut the ride down and all the logs started stacking up. Then the CM came by and asked us all to exit the ride by exiting to the side of the logs-onto the acutal ride. We walked around until we were at the end of the ride. Granted it was after the big plummet. We were then walked through into the back of the ride and got to see all the behind the scenes stuff.

It took a little of the magic away.

Last time we stayed at ASMv we were boarding a bus when we heard all the women from the middle back screaming "Open the doors!!" or "DRIVER!! Someone's stuck in the doors!!" Driver hits the thing to open the "handicap" doors on the center of the bus and then sorta rolls his eyes and sighs. Then this lady gets on with a lil kid in her arms....the child was the one sorta stuck in the doors of the bus and another kid behind her. Granted that wasnt funny but then the lady starts yelling and asking what is wrong with these (insert a few not so nice words here) WDW bus driver cuz thats the 5th! yes 5th! time thats happened today! My kids were rollin' and oldest DS was muttering "duhhhhh" The poor bus driver is sitting there trying to patiently tell one of the older women that the door is only for handicap people...it clearly states that on the door and that he reacted as fast as the equipment would allow. Finally one guy sitting in the middle speaks up and said quite loudly "You'd think after it happening 4 times today you'd learn you are not to use those doors thats why there is no line for them!"

I was riding Space Mountain at DL the last day before they shut it down for the long rehab. The guy in front of us had a leg brace and he couldn't fit in the car properly. The bars had already been lowered and locked before the CM noticed, so they had to send us forward, but instead of going onto the main tracks, we turned off into a maintenance bay. After manually opening the lap bars, they took us through a back enterance to the front of the ride queue so we could get right back on. The poor guy with the brace was apologizing like crazy, but I told him it was kind of cool because thanks to him I saw a part of the ride I wouldn't have seen otherwise :D

These are so funny keep them coming... I am trying to think of my own.

I just keep picturing that poor guy's leg ( with the brace) knocking off all the characters heads as he goes by whump... whump... whump!

wait i just reread it... you said space mountain not splash mountain...adds a whole new dimension! (much yuckier)
