Bizarre Disney Traditions?

Does anyone else have something they must do when at WDW that others might consider bizarre?

In my family it was this.

Before we moved here and I was taking vacations at WDW, my son, his g/f and I use to always do E-Ticket nights. One year, after doing the buffet at the Crystal Palace, my son left the restaurant with an orange. For the next 3 hours we spent nearly every minute trying to find just the perfect place to leave that orange.

Over the next several years we continued this tradition. I always wondered if the same cleaning person found that piece of fruit and thought, Uh Oh, they're at it again.

Well in 2003 it dawned on me that not once in all those times did I even take photos of this stupidity. So here is the well documented E-Ticket night with Skippy the Disney Magic Orange. :teeth:

The night almost didn't happen at all. When we arrived at the CP there were NO oranges. Luckily a CM was kind enough to find one in the kitchen. Here's my son with Pooh both admiring the fabulous fruit.

Skippy couldn't resist watching the boats come down the Splash Mountain hill for a while. Sitting on the fence gave him a good view.

We don't think Skippy got the real feel for the stocks but he was game to try it anyway.

The silly ole orange thought this native American was real. We tried not to laugh but I suspect he saw our smiles.

Being as brave as any grapefruit or lemon, Skippy came on the HM ride with us. He did, however, spend most of the ride in my son's pocket.

Probably one of, if not the most popular spot to have your photo taken. Skippy begged us to have this picture done with the big cheese in the background.

After the Indian episode, Skippy found the perfect spot to show off his best side. :p

The only scary part of the night came at the Buzz Lightyear ride. We think that Buzz thought Skippy was an evil alien and he attempted to grab him. Fast work by all of us allowed Skippy to escape certain doom.

There's nothing like a few relaxing moments on the TTA (forever known as the Wedway). Here Skippy is resting in my son's hat. Wouldn't want our fruity friend to have an accidental ejection as the car sped around a turn.

Things go better with Coke.
Sadly the night ended and we left Skippy playing checkers on Main Street USA with a cup of Coke. I do believe that Skippy was going to win that match.

And now, waaaa, no more E-Ticket nights! I've got to start thinking up a new wacky event. OK the rest of you, fess up. What really crazy thing do you do at Disney that you wouldn't think of doing anywhere else? :scratchin

I'm now going back to my padded cell.

That was cute and funny.

No, we don't have any funnes like that.

The only thing we do every trip, is on the way to the Turnpike, we stop at Krystal's for gut bombs. The closet one to us here is about 30 minutes away, so it's not like it's an easy trip to grab a gut bomb.

Not really bizarre, but we always make predictions about which color monorail we will see first. :teeth:

OMG, that's hysterical :rotfl2: Be prepared...I hope the Moral Police don't jump all over you for littering  Keep it up, that is really funny....I will be on the lookout now for Skippy :lmao:

Our latest is when we have some down-time in our Disney resort room. Its strange, but my kids LOVE that infomertial for Appliances Direct. They love it when the guy says "Wacky-nu-nu".

I certainly hope you don't feel good about flaunting the fact that you steal produce. Not only that...but that you discard it after you are done having fun and the example you are setting for your children? Wastefulness, theft, littering....you should be ashamed

...

....I am ONLY joking! That is hilarious!

Before the days of the "travelocity gnome" we began a traveling gnome tradition on our vacations. That gnome has gone on virtually every vacation we have had since 2000. He has been to the Caribbean, Europe, Mexico and many places in the states including WDW!!
