Last nite I call CRO to check on my reservation for November (Thanksgiving week) and I get a great guy on the phone. He is doing funny voices, and just really working to help me. Originally he couldn't find my ressie  **PANIC**. Finally, he found it. He kept asking me if I had seen any specials on the internet or anything to get a better rate. He said he couldn't look for them unless he was going to book a new reservation. He did say that my screen says I should get correspondence from Disney about special rates. (A post card maybe?):bounce: :Pinkbounc

Well unfortunately he couldn't find anything for my dates so we left my ressie as is, but the half hour on the phone was quite enjoyable.

This ever happen to anyone else?

Yes, I find they can be quite talkative, which is nice and all, except then I remember it's me paying for the call. :o

Gosh, I called recently and ended up having the most enjoyable conversation with, I kid you not, "Cappuccino". He walked me very kindly through my reservation, helped me order MNSSHP tickets, and made sure my contact info was updated. Since I usually deal with DVC Member Services, it was very nice to have such a pleasant experience with CRO :)

I know what you mean about those calls to CRO adding up. I got my bill last month and I spent $15.00 in two calls just switching my ressie. I have to call again for something, I better try and speed them up!

I find they all seem to have interesting names. I'm beginning to wonder if they are their real names. "Cappuccino"????
This week I've talked to:
Michealena
Ickard
Newton
and the most normal sounding...Darius

So, where is Bob and Jennifer and Matthew???

If I remember correclty, CRO officials can make up a stage name. Some call centers work with id numbers, and some call centers the employees can use a "stage" name.

I've called call centers and I get My ID number is 12453256, its easier to have someone say hey I'm cappucino.. versus ID number 12453256

Oooh, I knew it!::yes::

I spoke with "Gloria Agnes" today. Interesting one...

I use my cell phone to call 407 b/c it has free long distance (which I believe most packages do).

The 800 number for WD Travel Company is
1-800-828-0228
:bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

Is that the same as CRO though? I don't want a travel agent trying to get me to do more than I want...

I don't have my old PH passes here to check, but I think you need them to use that 800 #. When I bought my tix at the DS here at home, they gave me an extra receipt with all the pertinent info on it and told me to keep it separate from the passes. This way if they get lost I'll be able to use the info to get them replaced. ANYWAY! The 800# is on the bottom and I used it to make my ressies. When I called, the little mechanical voice asked for all kinds of info that could only be found on the ph passes themselves, thereby limiting callers to those who already have passes in hand. Like I said, I'm not 100% sure right now, but don't be surprised if the little voice starts asking for numbers that you can't find.

The 800 number I gave you in the previous post goes directly into the regular queue. I just called it a couple of hours ago and it doesn't ask any questions that are out of the ordinary - just your phone number or reservation number if you have one. It is great, you can make ressies for resort and dining as if you were calling the 407 number.

Ahh-- thank goodness. That makes sense. I was really starting to wonder if the CRO agent's mom had spent too much time in Starbucks . . .

They all have different names which they get to pick. I assume the reason for this is that it would be much easier to send in a letter of what a great job one did :p or not such a good job:eek:

It sure does help remembering who your talking to with such unique names.....I can never remember names but do when calling Disney;)
