Have been driving myself nuts so just thought I'd ask the experts!

Have booked the Eurostar for our 2nd trip to DLP for November before the prices went up so now to hotel. I'd love to do DLH - but just not in budget - and books say that the Sequoia Lodge is particularly Christmassy so thinking of staying there. Do you agree?

Some sites say the Montana Rooms are in the main building are are charging a supplement for them but the Disney website is offering Montana room as standard but if you select a 2 bed room in the main building the price goes down £105.

Please can you wise, wise people share your wisdom with me!

HI have stayed in the sequia twice now and love it the smell from the fire to die for I would love to go for xmas. The hotel is being refurbished and the main building as i have read will be the last to be done hence the cheaper price (your room may yet to be refurbished)Having said that in the winter I would defo stay in the main building no going outside fo breakfast no taking coats etc hope this help a bit xx

Hmmmmm, smell of roaring fire - YES PLEASE!!!!

Thanks for that. I also read somewhere that the main building was done first so will go and check that out too.

I stayed in the main building in january and no work going on then and they defo needed a lick of paint please let me no if they have been done first will look at the price for my next trip xxx

Info on Disney site:

Montana Rooms and Suites
The Montana Rooms and Suites are ideally located in the main building close to all facilities and are equipped with a minibar. Lakeside rooms are also available.

The Disney site hasn't been changed all through the Sequoia Lodge refurb - the lodges (ie not the main building) are being refurbished first, when those are finished the main building rooms will be refurbished.

I would ring before booking ask whats happening at hotel they are realy helpful xx

Have just read a thread on this on another forum (sorry!) and they have pics of scaffolding etc now over the main building. Seems to be ahead of schedule. I think I will still book for main building (save £105) and prepare myself to not get a re-furbished room but be delighted if I do. With a baby and 3 year old I like the idea of going down to breakfast without having to wrap up to face the elements!!!!

Sorry to be a pain.

I've done the same thing.

When I asked, I was told the refurb is scheduled to finish this summer, but as it isn't at the moment, the Montana are still being classed as the outer buildings.

I've purposely took the gamble on main building lower price, and I'm told I should get main building even if by then the room available to be has been refurb'd.

I stand to be corrected on this, but I'm sure Montana rooms used to be in the main building, with lakeside views. However, due to the refurbishment I'm sure I have read that the Montana rooms are temporarily being relocated to the outer buildings - please somebody correct me if I'm wrong, or confirm what I thought I read.

Montana rooms are normally in the main building but as the outside lodges have been refurbed already they are now the Montana rooms - this was pasted from the new brochure:

EXCLUSIVE MONTANA ROOMS & SUITES(2)
• Montana rooms, newly refurbished and located in independent buildings called Lodges, will be a haven of tranquility.

I think once the whole refurb is completed then the rooms will switch round again with the Montana rooms being back in the main building.

That's what I'm going to do. If room looking really shabby then I'll ask how much an upgrade is and use the money I would have saved (plus more probably!)
