About 1 month ago, I booked 5 nights at RPR for Oct 6-11. Yesterday we decided to go to MNSSHP, so we would cancel our last night at RPR and move to WDW. Last evening I called to cancel the last night at RPR. The operator asked me to hold a minute. When she came back on the line she told me those dates were booked either as 3 or 5 night blocks. I said this was news to me as no one had explained that. So I said fine, cancel the last 2 nights. Then she said ok. Instead of just removing the last 2 nights, she canceled my reservation, rebooked it under the same reservation number and now instead of getting the rooms for 164 for 1st night and 219 for the other nights, I'm now paying:
Room Type Standard 2 Queens
Room Rate Oct 6 $219.00
Oct 7 - Oct 8 $269.00

It seems like something should have either been mentioned to me or my reservation should have had this notated.

i think i would call back and talk to someone else. i have cancelled days

many times and have kept the same rate. i also just plugged in your dates and

it said 219.00 for all three nights so i am not sure where she got the higher

rate from?

Sorry you're having a problem. I imagine the higher rates are because of Halloween Horror Nights that weekend as the hotels sell a lot of the Gory Getaway packages during October. It's just a guess though.

I've had this happen. You can email the hotel directly and they will see what they can do. I just kept the reservation until something came up online that I wanted. Then I rebooked and cancelled the old one. However, you don't have the time option.

It is a stupid booking system that they have.

Thank-you all for the advice. I'll send off an email tomorrow and see what happens.

For curiosity's sake, I went to the website and saw that I could book 2 nights if I wanted to so the minimum days requirement was out the window plus the rates shown were cheaper. So I called reservations, explained what happened and the agent changed my rates.
Thanks again for your help.
