My fiance and I booked for an intimate Jan of 2007. As we all know the current guest max for intimates is 18. We have known for months exactly who we would invite but we've hit a snag. My sister is the only one of our guests with kids. Her daughter will be 1 by our ceremony and her son will be 4. They both count as guests and if they come it means that his closest cousin can't come b/c we will be at the max of guests. We also worry about the two of them disrupting the vows b/c they have to be entertained, I love them dearly but they are spoiled (When I say spoiled I really mean it they have their own private nanny, driver, chef, etc...Her husband owns a company in Atlanta so that explains where all the money comes from). Should we tell my sis to keep the kids at home? :confused3 Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

You say the kids have their own Nanny. Why not have the nanny come with them to WDW and let him/her watch them during the ceremony so DF's cousin can come? My college roommate was a nanny for awhile after graduation, and she went on vacations with the family and watched the kids.

Best of luck! And try not to worry....things have a way of working themselves out.

Can you ask sis to bring the nanny along to watch the kids during the ceremony and festivities? I'm sure there will be time before or after that they can do something with the kids...

Are you planning anything else besides the "standard" intimate? If so, you can probably "add" the kids since those other activities are paid for by you and aren't necessarily limited to DFTW's guest limit.

How about babysitng through Disney so that your sis does not feel she has to leave them behind. Disney offers a babysitting club through most of its deluxe resorts (Iam not sure on info as I do not have kids but maybe someone here can offer some info) You can offer it and if she offers to pay even better(I don't thgink it cost too much in relevance to what is out there)!

I had the same problem for our Intimate. We were allowed only 8 guests (old rules) and my sister's kids were then 17, 8, and 6. The 17-year-old was my MOH but we couldn't fit the other two, plus I knew they would be disruptive. So we invited them to just the day-after brunch (at Whispering Canyon so it didn't matter how much noise they made there) and to go to the parks with us for the weekend. In the end my sister left them with their father so she could have a little vacation of her own.

So, if your sister wants to bring them, have her bring the nanny or get Disney resort babysitting (that was my sister's other option) during the ceremony and reception. Kids get bored at weddings anyway and would have more fun at the resort pool or in a park. They're still in Disney so they are part of their aunt's wedding without actually being at the ceremony.

Best of luck!

ask your sister to bring the nanny & watch them during the ceremony or arrange for a sitter in a guest room or one of the resort kids clubs so youre not over on your guest numbers.

Another vote for the nanny to watch them....I have the same problem w/ nieces and nephews being spoiled and disruptive.

Thanks guys! With all your posts I finally got the nerve to call my sis and ask. She said that they would not bring their nanny b/c her rate nearly doubles with travel and in their contract they are responsible for all expenses that she takes on when away from the city. However, my sis did say that she would try calling her DH's brother and SIL and fly them down to orlando to watch over the kids in their hotel room while we are doing the wedding. She refuses to do the disney child care but I'm not suprised...she is really finicky about who watches her kids. Thanks again :goodvibes I feel sooooo much better

I would probably ask my sister to invite the nanny to disney with us. That way the kids can have fun in the park and not interupt the ceremony ;)
