Bit Belts or something else?

My four year old managed to lose his Magic Band this past summer while at Magic Kingdom. We got him another, of course, but I would like to secure it a little better this coming summer and thus avoid the hassle.

Question therefore is, do bit belts work well for magic bands, or is there some other product out there that does the job better?

Thanks in advance! :)

I used a small black rubber band - the kind used for ethnic pigtail braids. They are small enough to not need to be doubled and cheap to replace if lost or broken. Those bands come in handy for many things when traveling.
