Just finished my first five days on BistroMD and I'm loving it! :thumbsup2

The food is so good and the variety is much better than I'd do shopping and cooking for myself. Even better than I do eating out...as I tend to go for the same (not so healthy) things over and over.

Had to call in and put oatmeal on my substitutions list....still don't like it and I guess I never will. There was one breakfast 'donught' that was bleck, so I tossed that after a taste and just cooked up an egg instead. I tend to lean toward low carb when dieting on my own, so am very happy when the breakfast has protein. But I've noticed that the breakfasts that don't, have a protein shake as the morning snack.

I had so much fun unpacking week two's shipment...it was like Christmas!

Anybody else doing BistroMD?

Hi Jackie! I've not tried this. I WISH for you that this is just the perfect thing. Seems like it is an easy way to get a variety of healthy meals all planned and ready to go.

I can't wait for you to let us know that you are finding success.

Hello my friend! I think of you and the other '05 WishWalkers often! Was just looking at my pictures a few days ago.

I've had my diet ups and downs in the years since then, and the cancer scare had me swining from "eat, drink and be merry, for tomorrow...." mode to "get healthy and live as long as possible" mode. :lmao:

I'm sitting down and re-working the budget today to make sure I can keep BistroMD in my life for a good long time. It ain't cheap, but I was probably spending nearly that much eating out all the time.

Can't wait to hear if other folks are trying it.

Nobody else has tried this?

Lost 3.5 lbs my first week...pretty much painlessly! :woohoo:

This is interesting
Which plan are you on? You are sticking to it pretty well?
What about the rest of your family? Do you cook for them and then eat your meals?
:)

Hi Jackie,
I have never tried the program, I've actually never heard of it. I'm so happy you have found something that is working for you.

I do straight calorie counting, but it's definately a job making sure you have meals cooked and planned.

I also often think about our Wish Walker's 05 group. What a great life defining moment in my life and those memories will last a lifetime.

I do the 5 days plus snacks...needed to keep those two days free for social dining ;) I live alone and it's the fact that I just haven't been cooking at all that makes this plan work so well for me. My plan is to FORCE myself to cook at least one nice meal on the weekend (lunch or dinner) and have one 'treat' meal (meaning one food item I'm craving...this weekend it was a hot dog!).

They are using this plan on Biggest Loser this season, I believe.

You like the taste??
this does sound like a great idea for a single person
:)

Yes, about 90% of what I've had so far has registered in the "this is pretty darn yummmy" catagory. There was one item (a breakfast pastry kind of thing) that fell into the 'bleck...throw this out' catagory and wo of the chicken meals qualified as 'acceptable' (on par with a store bought frozen entree). Those were both labled as a tariyaki flavored dish and were kind of bland...at least I was expecting a stronger teriyaki flavor.

I just finished my afternoon 'snack' which was a "Crisp 'n Crunch Cocoa Cafe Bar...chocolate with coffee flavor...A+ :thumbsup2
