Bistro de Paris

We really enjoyed it for a nice anniversary dinner by ourselves. It is nice for an adult evening- my favorite all time dish at Disney was served there that night- an asparagus cream that was offered as an amuse bushe(sp)- it isn't on the menu but I loved it. We both enjoyed our dinner and dessert.

1) We eat at ONLY five TS eateries in all of WDW.
2) And, only two of them are Disney owned.
3) Bistro is one of the non-Disney-owned eateries we patronize.

Bistro is good. We have eaten there twice. Once was not good and really expensive (had degustation menu = $300 for two of us) and the other time was much better. The service was good both times we went and the room is lovely. There are some nice views of WS Lagoon from some of the tables.

Just as an FYI, and please excuse me if you already know this, but Bistro does not take the DDP. It does take the TiW.

We've always had good food and excellent service at Bistro.

I went with a group of 5 adults in Sept. At end of trip, took of vote of our favorite restaurants. It got one vote. We all liked it, but some liked others better (The Wave and Artist Point got 2 votes each for what it's worth).

Details: Nice, grown-up atmosphere - we did not see any kids except a baby in a stroller, from which we did not hear a peep. Good service. I would not order the duck again (waiter recommended it because his family raises ducks in the same region or something) - they had not cooked the fat off and it was kind of gummy. The beef tenderloin was a hit (should have ordered that, but wanted something more "French"). The dessert sampler with the creme brulees was also a hit - esp. the rice pudding creme brulee. We had a late reservation but did not feel rushed. Some people could see Illuminations - we could not, but a nice party invited us over so that we could see from their table. We did not finish til well after park closed - in fact, we were the last ones out of Epcot that night - the nice party was just a couple of minutes ahead of us. While we missed the last busses to our resorts, Epcot CMs made sure there was a bus to take the two parties to our resorts; luckily, they were at Poly and we were at WL, so not far apart!

We ate there earlier this month and it was very good. The atmosphere is wonderful -- we got a table by the window so I couldn't have asked for more in that regard. The amuse bouch was a cold pea soup, which isn't something I'd normally gravitate toward but it was fantastic. I wish I'd ordered a different appetizer -- I got the shrimp with crab croquettes. The croquettes weren't really hot, not sure if that's how they were supposed to be or not. My entree was outstanding -- rack of lamb. Prepared perfectly. I got the praline parfait for dessert -- it was good, not *the* best dessert I've ever had but good. The service was outstanding.

1) Don't worry, Rusty.
2) Disney still gets a cut of everyplace on property, including Bistro de Paris.
3) Disney thanks you for your patronage...
4) ...because you have to buy a ticket to get into the park and eat there.
5) On behalf of Disney, :rotfl2:

I like it. I had the best sea bass there that was served with gnocchi and a champagne buerre blanc sauce.

Just curious...what are the other four restaurants you enjoy?

1) We prefer
. . . fine food
. . . excellent service
. . . innovative dishes with flair
. . . overall great value
. . . relaxed and soothing dining atmosphere
. . . behaved patrons
2) The only sit-down restaurants we patronize at WDW are
. . . Bistro de Paris (Epcot, France, upstairs)
. . . Citricos (Grand Floridian Resort)
. . . Shula's Steakhouse (Dolphin Resort)
. . . Il Mulino (Swan Resort)
. . . Victoria & Albert's (Grand Floridian Resort)

In my opinion Bistro is the second best restaurant in all of WDW, after V&A of course, for both food and service. And I do put it ahead of the non-Disney in some of the hotels.
