Back a week already from our wonderful week at WDW. On Friday evening, 9/26 dear BF and I went to Bistro to celebrate our anniversary after sending the kids to 50s PT. We had a lovely table by the window. I wore a sundress and my BF wore dockers and a sport shirt. I only report tis since I know people ask. Most people were in shorts. And there were a lot of kids there. I counted 7 I could see from where I was sitting. Oh well. The setting was lovely and watching the fireworks from our table was extra special. The service was just OK.
We did not do wine, but my BF had bourbon which he said was "good bourbon."
I had the grilled shrimp appetizer. Delish. I really wanted to run my finger around the plate to get all the sauce but managed to restrain myself. My BF had the crab. He liked it.
I had the duck. It was delicious. The polenta was too die for. My BF had the rack of lamb. He asked for it well done and it was at best medium rare, so he did not like his. He didn't want to take the time to send it back so...
We ordered dessert and coffee. For dessert I had the sampler with creme brulee and some other things that I cannot for the life of me remember. It was so good. The waiter never brought coffee. Like I said, service was just OK.
I enjoyed it. Not sure I would go back, but it was a nice break from the loud, LOUD, loud WDW restaurants, although all the kids detracted a bit. I kept thinking to myself how much money must these people have to take their kids into a place like this. Yikes! And don't you want to go out sometimes just as a couple? Anyway, just my thoughts!
