Hi everyone. We are thinking about going to Bistro this Oct. It has been over 2 years since we have been there. Has anyone been recently? How was the meal? Did you have the tasting menu or a a la carte? Any good items to reccommend? TIA!!!!:goodvibes

We only always do the same thing - we go there for lunch and have salads, bread, the cheese selection, and white wine.

We just love it! I wish I could tell you more about the menu but we are pretty set in our ways with what we order. We love going in there, having lunch, and talking to the young French kids. They always tell us about where they are from, how they like Florida and working for Disney. It's always a trip hightlight!

We were there in March. If the search function is working today :confused3 you can find the report in my thread on the review board. The meal was very good. We did the tasting menu, and I have pictures and comments on all of the items we tried, in that post.

I didn't think Bistro was open for lunch.

Thank you...I am going to search now!

Thank you Robert...excellent review. Extremely entertaining as well. I think we are going to give it a try.

IIRC It's not (Chefs de France is). We have done Bistro several times, most recently last December. Had the tasting menu with wine pairings, and really enjoyed it. Hard to recommend specific items as the menu changes more often than most other places in WDW, so there is always something new. Enjoy.

Sorry I'm stupid! I'm thinking "Chefs de France" - which I always call the wrong name. I think I have had lunch there at least a dozen times I call for reservations and have to describe it because I don't remember the name.

I blame menopause!

:rotfl: :rotfl: That's ok...your so funny- my mom has those moments and we joke with her and say she is having "mental pause":rotfl:

I think it's one of the best restaurants in WDW, second only to V&A's. The tasting menu is excellent, as are the wine pairings.

First, let me start with I'm just retired from over 30 years as a Chef, restaurant owner, and event planner from New Orleans. I have had three very successful restaurants in South LA.

Wednesday evening the wife and I went to bistro.
The restaurant is beautiful, and the food was fabulouis.

The server's and management need retraining. Our order was taken, food delivered, beverages (wine & water) only refilled after we asked several times, only received bread after asking (one piece each) frozen butter, check delivered, credit card returned. Our server was very cold, and disinterested. after complaining to management, his response was they were short staffed.

Well they only had 7 tables with dinners and 4 servers. ...., seems like they were overstaffed.

This is our 11 trip to WDW since 1976, if my memory serves me right, and have eaten at Bistro every time we have visited epcot.

We were so disappointed.
Going to China tonight, hope service is better.
