Birthdays in Disneyland

What is your favorite thing to do in DL for your birthday or your kids birthdays?

Has anyone ever done the...... "My Disneyland Birthday Party" with Mickey and Minnie at the Plaza Inn???

we did the plaza inn bday party it was fun an it was the year before they made the prices go sky rocket

we wont do it again for the price it is now. You dont get mickey an minnies autograph they tell you no not there. The cake is alright an you get to decorate it your self so its fun for the kids.
I think I would get them one of the bday buckets. an have a character meal an deliver it there. or order a nice cake from Disney to deliver at BB.

Today when I called dining they said that Mickey and Minnie show up for pics and autographs at the Plaza Inn, Is this not the case??

What is in the bday bucket? Do you know the cost?

Mickey and Minnie show up for pictures but they tell you they don't sign autographs -- we did not know this when we went and they did sign DD's book, but I later found out we weren't supposed to do that (we went back in 2005).

I wish I'd known about this site back when I took DD for her 4th. We just did a B-day cake at GK & the characters presented it, & they announced it. She was SO shy tho....it was hard on her! We got a cake that wasn't great & we couldn't eat all of it between the 3 of us. We were staying off-site so we had to decide - carry it, or chuck it? We chucked it.
