Birthdays at DL???

My husband and I are taking my DD and her friend to DL Dec.15-17th. My daughters birthday is Nov. 26 and her friends is Dec. 9th. They will be 13 years young. The big teens!! Can they still be eligible for birthday treats and are they too old??? Do you have to be there on your actual birthday?? And what do they do for birthday guests??? Do I need to inform Disney way ahead of time, or do I do that when I check into our hotel??? Thanks!

Hmm, i have seen dads wearing the happy birthday sticker. I always wish them a happy birthday. I believe to get the sticker, all you need to do it go to city hall and ask for it.

No one is too old at DLR It doesn't have to be your actual birthday. You can go to City Hall for a birthday pin. I think if you tell the hotel before you get there, they can give you something at check-in -- not sure, haven't stayed at Disney.

There is a birthday celebration party at the Plaza Inn in the afternoons. You decorate a birthday cupcake, and you can get your picture with Minnie & Mickey. It's $10/person. You can do a search for "plaza celebration" on the boards -- I've seen pictures in the past.

If you are staying at a DLR hotel you ask for a birthday button at check in , if not ask at main st at the city hall or guest services at CA.
You are never too old for a birthday button!

I was at DL on my 50th birthday - they gave me a birthday button when we checked in at the Disneyland Hotel. Best "treat" was the A Capella group that pulled me out of the crowd, draped me in beads and sang to me - it was a hoot!

Call Disney dining and they can arrange for a cake, I know they do this at goofy's kitchen. Or check the special occasions section at disneyland.com because there are a couple other things that you can do while at the park. Also I have heard if you are staying at one of the resort hotels they can have a "gift basket" put your room, but call to make sure.

When we stayed at the DL Hotel for my sons 3rd birthday they went all out for him. He got balloons on his birthday along with a stuffed Mickey. A happy birthday wake up call along with cookies and milk at bed time. We had dinner reservations at Goofys Kitchen with a cup cake and a special visit from Goofy. It was a birthday to remember!
